Professor Posted 17 September, 2008 Share Posted 17 September, 2008 Tottenham are bottom of the Prem with less points than us and without a game in hand, but does anyone seriously expect them to be relegated? We aren't bottom because of losing a game, but because of Plymouth winning. BUT - Ipswich is a 'must win game'. Lose, or even draw at home, and then the doom-mongers may be right. Guest Hacienda Posted 17 September, 2008 Share Posted 17 September, 2008 We play one striker up front. It wasn't me who was saying how our young strikers were going to get 20 goals each especially, as you've pointed out, only 1 acyually plays up front. jawillwill Posted 17 September, 2008 Share Posted 17 September, 2008 Perhaps I'm wrong, but aren't we better off now than we were this time last season?

Scummer Posted 17 September, 2008 Share Posted 17 September, 2008 (edited) Perhaps I'm wrong, but aren't we better off now than we were this time last season? Yeah you're wrong. We had 6 points after 5 games last season. This is our worst start since 2000-2001, when we also had 3 points after 5 games (we'd drawn 3 lost 2). Looking on the bright side, we came 10th that season. Edited 17 September, 2008 by Scummer

Strikes me that if we are having 'must win' games so soon after the start of the season then we really are in the sh1t.

West End Saint Posted 17 September, 2008 Share Posted 17 September, 2008 I love the style we are playing but can we carry on and not be so open at the back I dont think so we will have to sacrifice some style for some clean sheets . We desperatley need to win the next two games so our youngsters dont lose confidence if that go's we are in deep trouble lets hope we get a couple of results on the hurry up
