Of all the U.S. fast food joints, at least KFC, at its best is bloody delicious. But then again, it never is at its best anymore, so it can bugger off back over the pond with the rest of the McDonalds, Burger King, PizzaHut, whatever, rubbish, as far as I'm concerned.

Where Dibbens then Jewsons were at the bottom of one of the dips, if I am correct.

In answer to someone up the thread saying that Yank fast food can bugger off back over the pond, Burger King is originally a British company.

Oh yeah, forgot that one was there.

Used to live in Thornhill once, couldnt think where KFC was....

Apparently its called Antelope Trading Park now, I supply The Range and had no idea where it was when they were telling me where Southampton 2 was being built, and I only use to live in Chatsworth Road by the Police station in Bitterne.

No it isn't, was brought over to this country in the 70's, I think Sperring from the old convenience store chain had something to do with the 1st Southampton one located above bar.

Of all the 'branded' fast food chains Ive always found KFC the least appealing, hygiene seems paramount to other chains but not to KFC.

My last experience of them was in the Shirley one many years ago now, after ordering some combination meal the girl serving me takes the ticket out of the till, reads it, puts it on her bottom lip, pulls a box down puts the chicken and chips in the box, reads the ticket once more then puts the ticket into my box of food, mank mank mank ! I'll have my money back thankyou as your saliva was not what I ordered.

It was British owned from 1989 to 2001 Grand Metropolitan/Diagio but very much started in the States and American owned once again.
