It's now raining in Romsey. The roads are clogged with people obviously leaving work early. :-(

Indeed, my better half was told to leave work in Romsey early today... and she works for the Environment Agency!

It's snowing heavily in Coventry... and is only going to get worse.

Hope the game doesn't get called off on Saturday, first game on the half season ticket etc.

I just attempted the drive to Baddesley to get some grit and got as far as the pub... Looks like I might be here for a while. Happy days.

Keep us informed on what you drink, peanut consumption, ming3 awareness etc.

From Met Office website....

Outbreaks of snow are now not expected to be as heavy as previously forecast. However, a spell of sleet and snow is still expected during Tuesday evening and through Wednesday morning and there is still a risk of fresh accumulations of 10-15 cm locally. Widespread icy roads are also likely to occur. The combination of snow and ice could cause disruption to transport.

The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advise on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.

Was raining here first aswell, then turned to snow, ;)

I kid you not, just looked outside and now its like a bloody blizzard, snow is settling big time.

The roads are going to be trecherous.

Driving between junction 11 and junction 8 has just given me a good idea as to what it would be like to fly a TIE fighter

Good luck, hope you dont get too much.

Same here in Bursledon, looks like it's just stopped. Settled about 10-15cm.

South Today are treating this cold snap like 'Day After Tomorrow' ffs! Let's all meet at a library and burn books.

Best to start off down in Skatesmouth. The ones that have never been read burn so much more easily and there'll be a lot of them

I'm just north of Skatesmouth and we're under at least a foot of snow here. Can't get into work and just had to clear a load of snow off the greenhouse to stop the roof collapsing under the weight of it

It has been worse the further south you go, hence Calshot/Fawley area and Pompey are worse than Southampton.

Looks like we're in for a cold clear night so tomorrow morning it'll be the ice that causes the problems I expect.

Need to get from Bassett to West Wellow tomorrow evening after work to pick up my new van. Hope it's safe enough to drive there and I don't have to delay picking it up any longer.
