And probably kill myself if it is news that we have 'extended his loan'

Is that the collective sound of 200 SWF users praying for a loan extension?

at a guess it's antonio, i'd very much doubt we've managed to tie up the Ward transfer this soon.

There's no reason why we couldn't have been working on it before the window opened.

That said, I bet it's Antonio too.

They could have been working on a transfer for weeks, it doesn't matter that its only a few days into the window.

Preston have confirmed the permanent signing of collins, i bet it's trotman

Won't mind if it's Trotman, so long as once he's signed he settles down back to the form we saw earlier in the season.

I find it odd when clubs sign players without a manager. They could bring in a new boss next week and tell Collins he's not wanted. Just seems a risk.

Must have been clauses etc.

I know what you mean, when players are signed over a managers head it always causes issues................Tin man anyone ??

Virtually the same thing happened to us with Delgado. We'll know in a few minutes. I suppose I can wait.

Oh god not Antonio. We really can do so much better. He may improve in time but is not good enough for our first team at the moment and that is surely the priority. Our squad has far too many cameo players in it for us to sign another.

Finally, I will get some use for that shirt with "Bierhoff" on the back.

I got that fake shirt too !

Went on holiday to Greece expecting the deal to be done when I was away, bought the shirt and wore it to the next league game.

i hope it isnt antonio. I see him as the fat sweaty bird in the nightclub who you try it on with once all the hotties have sent you packing.

Possibly the worst analogy ever...?!

We really know how to start laying into a player if we don't like him don't we... quality 'support' for a potential Saints player that is.

He's raw and young and despite what some seem to think, he has qualities. If he signs, it's down to AP to improve him, so quite what beenfit there is in making such harsh sweeping judgements about him now I don't know.

It's hardly big news though is it ?? Plus anything other than a free or V.small fee really i would be dissapointed.

He is not a good player, improvement is one thing but he can't cross and i don't see him being great on the ball, he is quick and strong though yes

If it's Trotman or Antonio I wish the club would just release the info rather than building it up into something bigger than it is.

They haven't exactly been trumpeting it from the rooftops.

Just a short factual, recent announcement on a website for social inadequates.

To me, signing Trotman or Antonio is not really considered news. I don't care.

I don't disagree that announcing him in this way is disproportionate to the news, but that's not Antonio's fault, and he seems to be the one taking flak at the mo. Discussions about his ability are for another day.

Anyway, I too hope it is Ward because I think he is needed, but we'll see very soon!

People are being far too hard on Antonio.

He's young, and with all respect to Tooting & Mitcham, had never been coached to a professional standard until he was 18.

Strikes me as similar to Kenwyne Jones. Young raw talent who with the right coaching will turn out to be a very good player.
