SuperMikey Posted 11 January, 2010 Share Posted 11 January, 2010 Another HCDAJFU, suggested him last year as well. Shane Cansdell-Sherriff from Shrewsbury CDDAJFU I think. He's very versatile (plays CB, LB, CM and LM) and is also only 27 so he's in the prime of his career. He'd be a better backup option than Lancashire and Martin at CB and Gobern at CM. He wouldn't be very expensive, he signed for Shrews for £300k so he'd probably be about that much. http://www.shrewsburytown.com/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10443~19056,00.html
ottery st mary Posted 11 January, 2010 Share Posted 11 January, 2010 I will still fully recomend Ed Asafu-Adjaye age 20/21 RB Luton against Saints...Had not played for 3/4 weeks..Played very well... Also plays along back four although only 5'11" REMARKABLE IN THE AIR. Great speed.. I see him as a Saints RB and cover for Left side..Also brilliant in the JPT Wembley final...... Deserves at least closer look by Saints ( whilst having second look at Craddock..striker)as OTHER ccc clubs about to pounce for Asafu.... Hope Saints are at least getting a second look. SuperMikey Posted 12 January, 2010 Share Posted 12 January, 2010 Don't rate him. Another Nathan Dyer. I certainly wouldn't mind having Nathan Dyer back here. Always thought he had more to offer, and it seems some of that is emerging now at Swansea. He's the type of player we've been missing, we need a spark and some energy in the team. While Papa Waigo has that, we're not sure how much longer we'll have him around. It's something we have to look at in order to improve the team. Struck me as a little strange. If you read the article he says something on long the lines of on his day he looks like a £40 million pound striker but then the next week he'll go and have stinker - it's my job as manager to make him more consistent we need those top performance every week. Probably fair, you see him boss games against decent sides and then don't hear about him for the rest of the month, at 25 he should be showing more consistency. Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 12 January, 2010 Share Posted 12 January, 2010 From what I've seen of Tyson, he's a little bit better than Dyer in that he actually gets past his marker. I can see some merit in this as Tyson would suit Pardew's two systems, as he can play as a central striker or out on the left.

Andy_Porter Posted 12 January, 2010 Share Posted 12 January, 2010 We need cover for every position. We play a minimum of 57 games this season you can't expect Lallana to play every game without picking up and injury or getting suspended. You have to build a squad, at the moment if lallana is out of action for a month we have to play Mills who isn't really a winger or Waigo out of position which isn't ideal for anything more than a game or two. Fair comment but if we are building, are we first trying to build a team or the squad. I feel that at the moment we are able to buy players because though dropping a level they are more or less guaranteed a game. This in my book makes them the first names on the team sheet. So if Pardew buys a player to play in Adam's position where will Adam play?
Chez Posted 12 January, 2010 Author Share Posted 12 January, 2010 If he plays out wide left where does that leave Lallana. Tyson is principally a striker. They have played him wide left because, a) they don't have anyone else b) they have 6 strikers.

In fact looking at it a little closer they may be in 6th presently but they've scored the fewest goals in the Championship this season (21 in 24) so i think it's the defence that deserves the praise... Rasiak-9- Posted 12 January, 2010 Share Posted 12 January, 2010 Exactly, spot on. Thirded. This is the thing about Lallana, he may be baby-faced but he's not some 17 year old hot prospect as a lot of people seem to think he is. He's an admittedly good player at League 1 level. But lets see if he keeps this up in the c/ship because he contributed less than nothing all of last season.

NickG Posted 13 January, 2010 Share Posted 13 January, 2010 Otsemobor remained at the club but Norwichs season got off to the worst possible start losing 7-1 at home to Colchester with Otsemobor again putting in a very poor performance. However new boss Paul Lambert kept faith with Otsemobor and he scored in Lamberts first game in charge. However Otsemobor continued to put in some poor performances and Russell Martin was brought to the club in November with Otsemobor being on the bench
