HCDAJFU

And do you think Pardew knows who he is?

I reckon someone will write on his wikipedia as well as Elliot Ward.

Ward's wikipedia says he has signed for us and has been given the number 5 shirt despite the fact Perry wears that shirt.

You'd hope that our scout(s) would have reviewed or are at least aware of all of the national teams around the world? If not, I hope they read this thread. :)

I always listened to you....Bring us another young Pahars and you wil be

the toast of all of us.;)

Cheers mate. ;-)

2 up the grabs (as mentioned previously) - Cauna and Rudnevs. Quality for reasonable price. Cant get why the clubs do not hire scouts outside UK. They can do it with a help of worldwide fanbase as well and if there is a good player send a chief scout or regional scout.

You should volunteer your services to the club mate. I'm sure a friendly email here and there with info on the latest young tallent would be warmly welcomed. :)

Cauna scored against us last season. Reasonable player, wicked left foot, but perhaps lacking height (stature) and pace, though he does seem tenacious; I wouldn't mind him here. :)

Okay trying to getr back to reality rather than the fantasy some of you on here seem to weave. I think we arguably need 2 strikers, a big physical specimen with pace to and a lightning fast striker to play off Lambert.

With this in mind, what about Calvin Zola from Crewe and for the other striker, Barnard as the cheaper option, or Jackson or Libie if we are pushing the boat out.

Midfield needs an injection of muscle and pace, as does the defense.

Moussi from Forest would be great, or maybe someone like Anthony Grant from Southend.

In defense it looks like Ward is the target but i am terrified about the pace or lack of our full backs so a right back is a priority. I see Shaleum Logan branded about as being a quality replacement.

Exclusive: Southampton keen on Palace defender

Tuesday, 05 January 2010

By Richard Cawley

SOUTHAMPTON have joined the chase for Crystal Palace defender Jose Fonte.

The South London Press has received confirmation that the ambitious Saints are hoping to tempt the Portuguese stopper into dropping into League One.

Southampton are ready to pay around £1.5million for Fonte - but face competition from Sheffield United for his signature. If the Blades do follow through with their interest in the 26-year-old, they are in pole position. The Yorkshire outfit are drawing up a list of potential replacements for if they sell Matthew Kilgallon.

that would be amazing if true, he's not a L1 defender that's for sure.

I also read somewhere that we were in the market for Kilgallon, but i find that hard to believe...

poor bloke, says on wiki that history repeated itself when a second club he signed for had financial difficulties - and now Palace!

Could there be a locked thread done by admins that has links to players? Pretty sure it was done in one of the previous transfer windows. Saves going through all the different threads? A thread that has official links and rumours.

Doncaster captain Brian stock on his way down, rumoured £1.5mil. Watch this space.

When you say 'on his way down', do you mean a bid has been accepted and he's coming for talks?

Edit: I see he is from Winchester, so theres chance!

Hard to believe that a player Doncaster were trying to hold onto in the summer, with Premiership clubs interested, would now drop to L1 even allowing for his Winchester connections.

Swap deal- Gillet for Stock?

I wish

Good point, maybe Gillet will be involved in the deal somehow. Although, with reported interest from West Brom and Cardiff, we might have a hard time persuading him to drop down a league when he could be at a couple of clubs potentially looking at Prem football next season.

Yeah, it would certainly be seen as a great deal if we could get hold of him. It might just come down to money, and we have lots of that.
