If he goes anywhere on loan outside the premiership it will be Forest, there is not a chance in hell of him dropping any lower than that, oh and Spurs have won several times with him in the side by the way, West ham and Man City league games recently for starters, not to mention several league cup games and Burnley earlier in the season.

We can live in hope!

But yeah no chance he's coming here. Maybe if we got promoted he'd consider it, otherwise not a chance.

Well Patred on the UI just wrote that he spoke to someone who said that we might get Bale back on loan.....

Would you guys who go week in and week out to games welcome him back with open arms ???

Without doubt, his most unrealistic rumour yet. And there have been some shockers.

Probaly won't go to Forest now as they've got Nicky Shorey on loan for the rest of the season.

good point. Brum it is then. Shame we only saw him at our place for a season. ****ing Burley...

I am concerned that there is no mention of any signings today, particularly a central midfielder, as AP suggested in the Ipswich preview that Wotton would have to be rested tomorrow evening and we only have youngsters to replace him - unless Gillett is played in that position?

I honestly expected a signing before lunch time today to make them eligible for Brentford away!

Why would he leave a team that should go up automatically to join a team that "might" make the playoffs?

I didn't say he would come, just that he is the type of player who would do a great job for us! I include Stock in that ilk and I carry on hoping

Don't worry Olly Lancashire is our new midfield general...

Like the way he interupted Leroy Rosenior and told him Rickie is integral to what we are trying to do he wont be going anywhere.

I'm surprised they even bothered with Lambert on that list.

Saints don't need to sell for money and he can't be sold until the summer anyway.

Wilshire will go to a prem club, wenger wants him to get experience in the top division. One name we could get is John Bostock, attacking centre midfielder lost his way a little bit. And will have a point to prove to saggy chops!

would be a great signing at this level, always looked good at Bolton

not itk but also i get the feeling Brian Howard is a major target for us..

Why do you have that feeling? How many old players can you think of that are coming back and making a success of it. He's already failed quite spectacularly once, and since one of the Nelsons once played on the same team I can see why. I'd rather have somebody new who will fit into what AP wants to do. A defensive playmaker to do Wotton's job but better would be my thought.

Wonder if John Bostock might come in on loan from Spurs? He's been at Brentford for a while, and just returned from a loan spell. Not sure how he's developed, but he used to be considered a hell of a prospect. (I always used to poach him and Moses on the old Football manager!)

I spoke of him earlier, not sure how he played at brentford but he has been touted as a big prospect.

Could be an option

So you were all listening to TalkSport on the way home from work as well then?

Ha ha! - No, I read previously that he'd just returned back from a loan deal with Brentford. (Plus I should've read what others before me had posted!)

My Crawley supporting mate reckons he's pretty good. Maybe worth a punt?

He is - I've seen him play several times this season and reckon he could be as good as if not better than JP Pittman who went to Wycombe and seems to have done okay. He's certainly young enough to improve under the right guidance.

Only concern was that he was injured earlier in the season so hope he doesn't turn out to be injury prone.

Every player gets injured, how does one injury make someone injury prone?

Well why mention that you are concerned he might be injury prone? That applies to every signing so irrelevant to bring it up.

Well i think...and i could well be wrong...that all he was actually saying was he would hope he doesn't turn out to be injury prone. I think it would certainly be a little churlish to jump down his throat for such an off the cuff remark.
