We can live in hope! But yeah no chance he's coming here. Maybe if we got promoted he'd consider it, otherwise not a chance.

thorpie the sinner Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 What about Snodgrass!!???? HCDDAJFU!!!!
polegategavin Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 I am concerned that there is no mention of any signings today, particularly a central midfielder, as AP suggested in the Ipswich preview that Wotton would have to be rested tomorrow evening and we only have youngsters to replace him - unless Gillett is played in that position? I honestly expected a signing before lunch time today to make them eligible for Brentford away!

SFC Forever Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 If we can't get stock maybe we will give Gillett a chance.

I'm surprised they even bothered with Lambert on that list. Saints don't need to sell for money and he can't be sold until the summer anyway.
beavis17 Posted 26 January, 2010 Posted 26 January, 2010 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11681_5885647,00.html would be a great signing at this level, always looked good at Bolton not itk but also i get the feeling Brian Howard is a major target for us..
Saints67 Posted 26 January, 2010 Posted 26 January, 2010 Score another one from the list David Prutton [Leeds United -Colchester United] Loan
Viking Warrior Posted 26 January, 2010 Posted 26 January, 2010 Jack wiltshire on loan to us Arsne Wenger has said he is going out on loan by the end of the month
Bwanamakubwa Posted 26 January, 2010 Posted 26 January, 2010 Wilshire will go to a prem club, wenger wants him to get experience in the top division. One name we could get is John Bostock, attacking centre midfielder lost his way a little bit. And will have a point to prove to saggy chops!

Why do you have that feeling? How many old players can you think of that are coming back and making a success of it. He's already failed quite spectacularly once, and since one of the Nelsons once played on the same team I can see why. I'd rather have somebody new who will fit into what AP wants to do. A defensive playmaker to do Wotton's job but better would be my thought.
SuperSAINT Posted 26 January, 2010 Posted 26 January, 2010 Wonder if John Bostock might come in on loan from Spurs? He's been at Brentford for a while, and just returned from a loan spell. Not sure how he's developed, but he used to be considered a hell of a prospect. (I always used to poach him and Moses on the old Football manager!)

Wadge Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 I would put a cheeky 1 million pound bid in for Darren Ambrose, he would be quality for us.

He is - I've seen him play several times this season and reckon he could be as good as if not better than JP Pittman who went to Wycombe and seems to have done okay. He's certainly young enough to improve under the right guidance. Only concern was that he was injured earlier in the season so hope he doesn't turn out to be injury prone.

Matthew Le God Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Well why mention that you are concerned he might be injury prone? That applies to every signing so irrelevant to bring it up.

I think it would certainly be a little churlish to jump down his throat for such an off the cuff remark.
