I agree with both of those statements, and think he is just what we need to compliment Lambert, also think he would work well playing up front with Connolly and especially well with Papa.

His pace and strength were the only things that stopped us overwhelming Colchester at St Marys, which cost us the win, especially when Izzet had been sent off. I remember him winning the ball off of one of our players just outside their penalty area during the game, and laying it off to the keeper and then bombing off down the wing to receive the ball from the goalkeepers kick deep in our half, all within a few seconds.

Think he would make an excellent addition to our squad.

He also made both goals for them against us at Colchester with intelligent inside the defender passes.
I dont remember seeing him the whole of that game. Infact i dont even remember him being in the starting line up. Although with all the fog that day i couldn see a thing!

Good to see that we're looking into the striker position, i'd love us to sign Lisbie and Barnard. If we had Lambert, Barnard, Connolly and Lisbie, we'd have two quality combinations of target man + fox-in-the-box that any team in the division would want to have.

I think Gasmi was worth about £1.6m in the last Football Manager.

Now taking bets on the time gap between Arizona posting that and Matthew Le God's irate reply.

1 minute - 2/1

3 minutes - 4/1

5 minutes - 7/1

10 minutes - 10000000/1

Watching Sky Sports News, just seen that Jack Cork is back playing for Chelsea Reserves.

Would suggest Cov not extending the loan.

He looked a class act in the first half of our dutch experiment season

Bump.

(given Morgan's 3 match ban now)

Jason Puncheon + Jermaine Easter.

Both have already been mentioned, but they were MK Dons best players tonight and well worth a look imo.

I don't think either of them were that great tonight. Neither struck me as being team players. We just need a tiger in midfield and some pace up front. Bailey from Charlton and Jackson from Gillingham would do it.

Just checked, Lisbie isn't cup tied for the JPT, so would be another reason to add him to our squad along with Danns and Stock to bolster our threadbare midfield.

Now that this match is out of the way, will we see a signing today or tomorrow morning in time for the cup match on Saturday?

With Hammond and Morgan out AP and NC had better get signing PDQ or we'll be dropping games left right and centre. James and Wotton are not going to win us enough games...particularly Ipswich.

Puncheon is a player pardew rates very highly - wait till the summer for anything on that one though.

he more or less has confirmed he spoke to Plymouth about Puncheon.

issue at the moment though is that Mk Don's paid a loan fee to have him for the season - which is why i don't think we'll see any movement until the summer.

Although FC Twente are sniffing around him i heard.

In the Sun today (Oh, that reliable source) it said something along the lines of Jermaine Beckford has signed a pre-contract agreement with Everton, but it was ok for Leeds as they had signed Lee Barnard. Hmm.

Puncheon's a top player at this level. If we ever lost Lallana, i'd sign him in a heartbeat as his replacement. Good from set pieces too. I think we'd have a chance of getting him unless MK Don's get promoted this season.

Completely agree Super, Puncheon is absolute class at this level and even Championship. What Plymouth are doing lettting him go on loan i have no idea..

Anyway he can play central or left midfield and i think we start making enquiries now.

The guy is always a menace and i think he would be a great addition
