Son of Bob Posted 4 January, 2010 Share Posted 4 January, 2010 I had emergency root canal treatment over Christmas. It can't have been worse than that!

I don't know, I've never had it done, what's it all about? - do they not numb your mouth beforehand?

It was just nasty what he was actually doing with my teeth, and the amount of time he was doing it for didn't help!

They only tend to do this method when there is a major build up of plaque build up inside the gum line. Did you have smelly breath? And when I say smelly, I mean wheeliebin in august smelly? Now that is fun and a waste of money, I bet you within 3 months your tooth will have died, fallen out and will be waiting under your chuggington pillow for the tooth fairy to collect. My dentist has been 'threatening' me with this treatment if the two pins holding what is left of one sorry tooth together fail again. Seems you either hear of people have horrific experiences with root canal or no problem at all. Doesn't seem to be an inbetween. I have to say I really don't fancy one of the bad experiences!
