MK Dons Away Ticket Sales?

Does anyone know how close the station is to the ground at MK please? Quite important with a 7pm kick-off for those coming up from London.

Thanks

Think there are shuttle buses from Milton KEynes, but best bet is probably to use Bletchley Station which is a 20-25 minute walk, all depends if youre prepared to pay for cabs or not, makes a big difference.

Franchise FC, got absolutely no time for them. Although to be fair would be nice to know what our own ticket office has been doing and whether anyone had bothered to chase to get this sorted earlier.

FA including MK in the World Cup is also a farce, basing al ot of England's bid appeal on the history and heritage of the game, and then including a ground in a town with no football history.

I really hoped AFC Wimbledon would draw Dons away in the FA Cup, take 5000 and cause so much damage they'd leave the place looking like Plough Lane

As AFC are in the playoffs of the Conference, theoretically it could happen in the League next season, although it would take a calamitous 2nd half of the season for MK to get relegated to meet them. Still, I reckon they'll be in the same division as each other within 5 years. Be interesting to know what most AFC fans would want to do at that point:

1) refuse to play MK (probably get chucked out of the league/docked points if they did that) - would they sacrifice the 6 points they might get docked to make the point.

2) take no away fans to MK, and ban MK fans from their ground (like Sunderland/Newcastle did a few seasons back).

3) your option - take the maximum allocation they can and then trash the away end - they could end up with a massive fine, but I reckon they'd get a fair few quid from "neutral" fans if they started an online charity fund to pay the fine.

when you collect tickets at the ticket office does anybody know if you need to have your season ticket with you or is the booking reference number enough? Was gonna pick up my MK Dons away tickets later today but don't have my season ticket on me

The booking reference number should be enough and they will just ask you to confirm your name and the first line of your address.

Greyhound bus are running coaches up:

http://www.andoveradvertiser.co.uk/business/4828168.Saints_go_marching_in_with_style_/

Unallocated seating too I believe plus the two areas we have been given are adjacent iirc:

http://www.mkdons.com/staticFiles/fa/6e/0,,10420~93946,00.pdf

North East and North Stands.

This is excellent news to help boost our support. Have got Greyhound down from London and they are excellent, really nice modern coaches, about double the leg room you usually get, very comfortable seats, plus a complimentary newspaper. Looking at that link it looks like they are doing it cheaper than the travelclub as well.

Recommend it for anyone looking at alternative way to travel.

£13 for MK and £11 for Millwall and Brentford.

That's quality, fair play to Greyhound for trying to provide a decent alternative, used them before and they've been excellent.

Will we sell the 2,000? I think somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 is more realistic.

If that. If it was a league game or the FA Cup I would definitely go, but as it's only the JPT I'm not bothering. Spent my money on a Millwall ticket instead (a longer journey for me). But I will go to Wembley if we get there! That would be a good day out with no pressure as it doesn't really matter if we lose.

Er, except it is semi final of a cup with a Wembley final. Maybe I missed it but we dont get to go to semi finals all the time and we have had a mighty depressing last 4 years, and have a real chance of winning. I think we will get nearer 3k. I am definitely going but might not bother for a mid week league match

It's actually a final (southern area), not a semi-final, but that still doesn't make it any more attractive apart from the possible trip to Wembley. I would hope we will have more for the league game there (in March) than for this.

attendance puts money into Franchise FC's pockets, which for some is simply offensive and a strong reason not to attend. For others the fact that its on SKY, is a second rate competition, kicks off at 7pm, is midweek, one of 50 odd games this season, and a good 2.5 hours away at depending on traffic, is bound to put them off.

I'd of thought 2000 would be a decent turn out. If it was the League cup you could multiply that figure by 4 or 5.

Will be going to this one because it's such a big game, but there's no way i'll be going for the league game later in the season.

I hate the club, the way they dealt with the ticket situation has only made matters worse.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for coming to MK in two weeks, your money is appreciated.

Yours Sincerely,

Pete Winkelman.

PS - Thank you for lining my franchising pockets just because it's a big game.

Moral Stance my arse. You all love Franchising.

Calm down both. I hate what they did to Wimbledon as much as most, and I sincerely hope AFC (who I have been to watch) overtake them, but whoever they are playing, I am going to support Saints in a cup semi. End of.

No need to calm down as neither of them were being aggressive.

How about Solent Don explains:

How long has he supported them and why?

How would he feel if they started to struggle, lost their ground, and started playing 80 miles away in a new town, with a new name etc.......

The trouble they may have now is many are probably waiting for the 'next allocation' so they're behind the goal and not stuck in the corner. The only bugger is they won't send the next batch until the corner ones are all sold first.

Any 800 takers for corner tickets?

Take the telly money and bu88er the travelling fans: Franchise's master plan is coming together nicely then?

If they had given us a decent allocation over Xmas I'm sure we would have sold up to maybe 1500 by now. I haven't got mine and if I do decide to go I'll prob just buy on the day (behind the goal hopefully!)

I phoned up to get tickets this afternoon and the women on the phone was about to give me the choice of Corner tickets (original allocation) or North stand (new allocation). when she noticed that we had sold out of the corner.

So thats now 2000 definatly sold and the better tickets (IMO) are being sold round towards being behind the goal. She said they'd been really busy today so i could see us taking 3000 up there which would be great considering its also on tv.

That's good news, just what we were waiting for (and some other fans I've spoken to) and it's up to 3500 tickets they've given us.
