Were you there when he celebrated our relegation and goaded the saints fans? I was and will next forgive the nasty little piece of sh*te.

Will never forgive or forget the Irish fecker for that, he was lucky someone did not get on the pitch and do him that day.

If Ipswich come to win , we will beat them

if they come not to lose we may struggle to break them down

I wouldn't be so confident they're a good side. They shouldn't be anywhere near the relegation zone and on current form they're right near the top.

Will be a massive test for us, we need everyone playing well if we're going to win.

God why do we always get a complete nothing of a cup tie.

Sooner we go out of this competition the better. The league is everything and even the JPT is more important now we're in the semis

I agree, we should be more concerned about avoiding tiredness, injury and suspensions that might effect our league and JPT campaigns.

So far this season we have played 32 competitive matches - that is more than Man Utd, now we have another midweek game to squeeze in alongside our two legged southern final.

it's good to win but I hope we are going to strengthen the squad.

doubt john will be allowed to play. Pretty pompous response tho porter

Stern John started for them against Blackpool.

Personally think he deserves any abuse he gets but it always worries me that he will go and score a goal and get the last laugh ala Kevin Phillips.

Excellent draw, home again and a very good chance of progression. The draws have certainly been favourable for us so far this season. Keane's presence (assuming he's still there) should stoke up the crowd a bit as well!

Would hope for 25k+ given an attractive pricing structure.

I was there when he came out for a warm down after the match, some of our fans gave him grief, he gave a bit back and our fans threw their toys out the pram.

Has everyone forgot we've already faced one of his teams, Sunderland in the 06/07 season, since then?

This is absolutely one of the best possible draws we could, a team (in realistic terms) only a few very small steps above us. At home as well. I also feel whereas Sunderland players responded (only initially) to that horrible tvvat Keane's bullying, threatening, sombre, over-bearing, intimidating and negative nature, Ipswich players seem to have thoroughly rejected his awful methodology...which hopefully will work in Southampton's favour.

Trouble, for me personally, is I will now have a an emotional involvement above and beyond just wanting Saints to win - which will make it all the more sweet when we win, but cannot even consider losing this one.

Yes, the Irishman was a very good talent, however he is as far from anything that could be considered a 'good person' as you could imagine around football anyway. His criminal, revenge foul that time is possibly, if not probably the worst thing I've seen in football when you realise it was 100% pre-meditated and then added to that Keane's total lack of remorse.

Ipswich is a great club, with a lot of good people and and some good fans. They just made the most unforgivable decision hiring the volatile ex-Celtic/United thug.

We'll win - he'll get fired.

You lot need to get a grip if you still aren't over Keano 'being a meanie'

Keane probably gave us some stick when ManUre relegated us because he hadn't forgotten that he was sent off the day we thrashed United 6-3 at the Dell.

If anybody feels inclined to give him some banter if we knock them out of the cup, good for them. I was at both matches and wouldn't mind rubbing it in.

How is it a boring tie?

We can see how good we are against a mid-table CCC team in my opinion. I'd rather this tie than get Arsenal at home and get a good hiding, thus denting confidence.

Exactly, how a tie that we stand a chance of winning and progressing to the next round can be boring is beyond my comprehension.

According to some thats 3 boring ties out of the 4 we have had in this competition.

Some people want jam it seems.

I've always hated Keane in his ManUre days, for his intimidation of refs, general thuggery and specifically the incident already mentioned (Alf-Inge Haaland).

Anything that can get the St Mary's crowd going is a good thing in my view, as it can be a bit too quiet sometimes.

I think we should give Stern a round of applause for saving us in the CCC for a season.

Pathetic response from any Saints fan to boo him IMHO. We should have the confidence of a team on the rise to clap our past heroes.

he's no hero of mine. Laziest player ever to where the shirt. **** him.

Happy with the draw. Ipswich have turned things around recently so it is going to be a very tough game, but if we can rekindle the form of a month or so ago we can win.

Right - today's roast chicken made the decision. The girlfriend won the wishbone challenge and so Saints are going to win. As a previous Tractor boy for many years but now a Saints fan for the past year I am pretty confident that Saints will win. Ipswich do well against the big clubs but don't cut the mustard against 'lower' opposition.

Not saying Saints are less skilled, in fact a month or so ago I'd have said that Ipswich shouldn't be in the CCC and should swap places with Saints. But over the past few games Ipswich seem to be getting their act together under Keano and getting stronger and stronger each game. Hence why I think they'll trip up against Saints and, although a close game, we'll win 2-1 :)

keane should be applauded for his attitude. Winner thru and thru. The win at all and often any cost is an attitude missing from our club for far too long. Opposing fans who dont like need to try to understand that is a trait that made keane one of the worlds best in his day.

In managment he's hardly succeded - and quits as soon as the going gets tough. He's just a narcissitic psychopath. His attitude stinks; there are plenty of ways of winning and having a never-say-die mentality but still retaining honour and dignity and respect. He has none.

Contrast Keane and Rooney - the latter is developing real tenacity, passion and winning mentality and leadership skills on the field to supplement his technical skill and yet still has the human qualities that Keane lacks.
