Matthew Le God Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 That is a very good draw. At home is the important thing.

Saint Fan CaM Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Mmm, not a great draw TBH unless we can strengthen the squad beforehand. Would have rather had a lowly Prem team than a CCC team.
Under Weststand Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Good Draw winnable & lets hope give that Tw*t Kenno some sh*te
JerryH Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Thinking ahead First Round Proper winners (40) £18,000 Second Round Proper winners (20) £27,000 Third Round Proper winners (32) £67,500 Fourth Round Proper winners (16) £90,000 Fifth Round Proper winners ( £180,000 Sixth Round Proper winners (4) £360,000 Semi Final winners (2) £900,000 Semi Final runners-up (2) £450,000 Final winners (1) £1,800,000 Final runners-up (1) £900,000
John Boy Saint Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 I can live with that, another easy tie (he says with his fingers crossed behind his back) :-)
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 3 January, 2010 Author Posted 3 January, 2010 Do we get to call that a 'giant-killing'? More like a 6"6 killing.
sperm_john Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 we arent gonna get much of a better chance than this to progress to the next round, not such a small club that we would underestimate them (almost like we did with luton) but not too big that they are gonna give us absolute hell (especially with the season they have had so far) ...we will raise our game just enough i think and with a new non cup tied additions we can really win this and progress, good draw!
Rasiak-9- Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 God why do we always get a complete nothing of a cup tie. Sooner we go out of this competition the better. The league is everything and even the JPT is more important now we're in the semis
SaintRichmond Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Did we not score 7 against Ipswich in the Cup fifty years ago Great !!!!!!!! Let's field the same Team !!!!!!!!!! Simples:D
saint_stevo Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 can we still chant i hope the ripper got yer sister? Who did the draw with frank skinner? Paul someone.....
sotonjoe Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 I did scream "boring" three times when the draw was made butt, being objective, it's an okay draw. Getting a home draw against a non-prem team is just about as good as it gets if you want to talk chances to progress. However, I desperately wanted to play Pompey as I really fancy testing ourselves against them given both teams' current situations.
SuperMikey Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Very winnable imo, put a strong team out and really take 'em to town. Home advantage as well! COYR!
Joesaint Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 God why do we always get a complete nothing of a cup tie. Sooner we go out of this competition the better. The league is everything and even the JPT is more important now we're in the semis don't agree. Magic of the FA cup, it would be good to go far.
Pokerchampion Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Roy Keane needs one up him , when we got relegated he took the p*ss out of us , Tosser

markr27 Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Pretty pleased with a low-key draw to be honest, with the LDV 1st leg scheduled for the Wednesday beforehand!
Red And White Barmy Army Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 pardew vs keane. interesting result im sure but another nothing game. have we ever been drawn against a mid/lower-premiership team?! all i want is a change of scenary!
david in sweden Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Did we not score 7 against Ipswich in the Cup fifty years ago either a good memory or...?? 3rd round january 1961 (that makes it 49 years ago)..and it was 7-1 Former Saints player,(later England manager) Alf Ramsey sat in the dug-out and watched Saints stuff his Div.2 highfliers. Come on and do it again !! COYR !!!!!!!!

RedAndWhite91 Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Hmmmm. Winnable, yes. Tough, yes. Keane, ****.
rpb Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Did we not score 7 against Ipswich in the Cup fifty years ago One of the first FA Cup matches I remember We were 6 - 0 up at half time and were absolutely unstoppable. Ipswich were promoted that year and I think won the League the following year - they were no mugs...
brightspark Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 This isn't an excellent draw but its quite a good one. Is it winnable? Yes, but it will be very tough, and if we can go into the game with a bit of form then we should give a good account of ourselves. However, play like we have done in recent matches and we will be swept aside 0-2. Think of it this way - Ipswich will be well p!$$£d off they have to play us... AWAY
saint_stevo Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 i quite like roy keane. Says what he thinks and is very honest
Leicestersaint Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 I am happy with this - we have a good chance of getting through to the fifth round and a good opportuntiy to put one over on that total bast*rd Keane. Ipswich won't be any sort of pushover but as long as we take them seriously we can win it.

Toomer Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 First out of the hat Ipswich at home, winnable game and we know how much we love Roy Keane.
Saint Samuel Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Not too bad, a home draw at least, hope we can win it and get a more interesting tie in the fifth round.
thornhill_saints Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 can we still chant i hope the ripper got yer sister? Who did the draw with frank skinner? Paul someone..... Paul Elliott
Leicestersaint Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 i quite like roy keane. Says what he thinks and is very honest Were you there when he celebrated our relegation and goaded the saints fans? I was and will next forgive the nasty little piece of sh*te.
Whitey Grandad Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 can we still chant i hope the ripper got yer sister? Who did the draw with frank skinner? Paul someone..... Paul Elliott MBE. Ex Luton Town, Aston Villa, Pisa, Celtic, Chelsea. Retired after a knee injury caused by Dean Saunders in 1992. He is an England 2018 ambassador.
Hamilton Saint Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Is that EACH Team, or PER Team ????????? "Each team" and "per team" mean the same thing!
Andy_Porter Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 One of my best mates is an Ipswich fan, we simply can't lose this one. I'll be distraught. Still I think if we've got everyone fit and we play well we shouldn't fear them at home.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Good chance of getting through to the 5th round if we play our strongst team. Winning games breeds confidence.
John Cool Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 I rate our chances of progression as 50-50 - that's not boring! Oh and yes, Weane is a Kanker.

CanadaSaint Posted 3 January, 2010 Posted 3 January, 2010 Roy Keane needs one up him , when we got relegated he took the p*ss out of us , Tosser I will never forget that. Looking back over a lot of years of watching football, I can't think of one player who I've despised more. He's a vile piece of sh*t. i quite like roy keane. Why am I not surprised?
