bungle Posted 7 January, 2010 Share Posted 7 January, 2010 It was Bell and Collingwood that did most of it though, musn't be forgotten. Pietersen a waste of time once again.

pedg Posted 7 January, 2010 Share Posted 7 January, 2010 Oooo, that was close. Lucky its my day to pick up from school so home to see the last couple of overs. Just once I would like us to draw a test with wickets to spare, is that too much to ask??

The Cat Posted 7 January, 2010 Share Posted 7 January, 2010 Spent all day watching that, but couldn't face the last 17 balls as it was too stressful. Listened on TMS instead, came back downstairs to see the celebrations only to find my 4 year old watching Ben 10. He'll learn.
krissyboy31 Posted 7 January, 2010 Share Posted 7 January, 2010 241-7 at the close... I still fancy us to get 300. Gonna be a draw IMO. Should have put some money on it. Would have got decent odds at that time.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 7 January, 2010 Share Posted 7 January, 2010 Well played Brigadier Block, Sherminator and Bunny Onions. South Africa must be gutted once again :-)
saints_is_the_south Posted 7 January, 2010 Share Posted 7 January, 2010 Get in there! Been out of the office for the last hour so been frantically checking the bbc updates on my phone, re-load after re-load! Nerve wracking stuff. 1 test to go, I'd take another draw thanks! dubai_phil Posted 7 January, 2010 Share Posted 7 January, 2010 I apologise. I was one of Bell's doubters. I held the opinion he did not have the bottle for Test Cricket. I was convinced he should have been dropped after Centurion. I eat humble pie, I was wrong, well done Sherminator. And, I have to admit, as with Cardiff & Centurion, I turned off once the last wicket pair came together, I just couldn't watch. Well done Colly Bell, Onions and Stuart Broad, a finer duck for the cause taking up 22 balls will be hard to find. Poor old Smith, left the declaration half an hour too long. dubai_phil Posted 7 January, 2010 Share Posted 7 January, 2010 Oh, & would it be really bad if, the next time Onions plays against SA in a pyjama game the DJ plays "Oops I did it again"?

bungle Posted 8 January, 2010 Share Posted 8 January, 2010 SA call up Tahir into squad for 4th test Oh crap. Although weren't they saying that there's been a lot of rain in J'burg and with a bit of green on top it should be a seamers' wicket? Or have I just invented that nugget? krissyboy31 Posted 9 January, 2010 Share Posted 9 January, 2010 SA call up Tahir into squad for 4th test They've now had to scrap that idea due to issues over his eligibility. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12341_5850338,00.html Ironic that England have 4 SA born cricketers in their team.
