I would be really happy if he does sign for Saints but then AP would have a Big selection headache in who to play with Ward in defence!

If Ward does sign then I would play Perry with him at the moment with Jaidi as back up but we will see!

No thanks, Ward and Jaidi in defence without doubt. Ward and Perry are quite similar (although one is much taller than the other).

Unless I've missed something, Elliott Ward is reported be be 5' 9" tall, that would make it imperative that he played alongside a big centre back. Hardly likely that him and Perry could play together.

Wiki says 6 foot 1. Not that you should ever trust it unless it cites where the info is from.

That was Saturday so it could have been altered.

How on earth do you "simulate the market"?? Football Manager??

I wasted 5 minutes of my life trying to work out how AP 'simulates' the market. FFM? But he can do the real thing surely? STIMULATE. That's what he can do; he is the vibrator of League 1. He has the power to **** any league 1 or even championship up the arse with his big stimulating DILDO and we should be all cool with that, and so should he.

Wave it about, penetrate, and STIMULATE this market FFS. And enjoy it too.

From 606, but ties up with what i have heard tbh.

(Fee is probably a little lower than what they say here)

''Southampton are reported to have held talks with Coventry City Defender, Elliott Ward, with a view to complete a deal worth £900'000.

Ward, who was valued at £1.5m, is looking to complete a move in time for the weekend visit of Huddersfield.

Speaking about Ward, Coleman said "Ive been expecting this for some time. I said weeks ago that I thought Elliott would cut his ties with us in the window, and in all honesty with you, I wish him well. He is a fantastic player, and one who I trusted to do a job while waiting until the window. He was terrific and done a great job for us, but as I said when we played Plymouth, I imagined that he would move on. He is out of contract in the Summer, and rather than wait for a payday and sit on a wage, he has taken the move. I did think when he rejected Notts County's offer that he would be tempted to see out his contract - but now Southampton's offer has come in, and they are a big club with the right facilities to get them back up to this level (maybe higher), he may settle and recapture the form that made us pay out £1m for him. Like West Ham, they have a great reputation of getting the best from youngsters and Elliott is still young at 24.''

now i don't think someone would be sad enough to write up an interview with coleman...although i haven't found it anywhere else...

searched a few different snippets of that article in google and it didn't throw up any results other than the 606 link.

Really hope it's true but I don't trust anything on 606 at all.

Surely a made up interview? For starters, why are there brackets in it?! And no manager is ever that frank/honest about stuff. i'll happily eat my words but that really doesn't read like a proper interview.
