OldNick Posted 15 January, 2010 Posted 15 January, 2010 I couldn't care less about Coventry or Ward, all I care about is Southampton and if there's a reason we didn't buy Ward at the last minute then so be it. If it means we can have Seabourne on small wages enabling us to get in a decent striker or mid on decent wages instead of Ward and his wages then everyone will be thinking it's great bit of business. This is about Saints, what's best for them, couldn't give a rat's arse if we put Coventry's nose out of joint! Yep Ranson didnt mess anyone about did he!! lol

That is all well and good and I agree that getting Seabourne and Fonte is very good but giving ammunition for the Press to sling mud at you is not good I would have thought. Cortese has fallen out with the Echo so anything he does which is regarded as not the norm will be picked up.

In respect that the Echo may turn the knife but at the same time they will need to build bridges. NC I suspect has drawn a line in the sand and if dealing with him you know your boundaries.That to me is a good way to do business. if the Echo hold to their word then i suspect the rewards would be greater. I notice myself people are less likely to talk at the club now nad that could well be down to the new broom

Looking at one of the CC fan sites it seems some of their fans aren't too bothered about it and even want Ward to stay.
