Thedelldays Posted 6 January, 2010 Share Posted 6 January, 2010 (edited) TDD, you're defending these guys? It's possible to be against Choudary's nutters and against the thuggery of the EDL, it's just that in my opinion the EDL are more dangerous. After all, there's a lot more of them. As for UAF, their aims are on their website: The UAF does not seek to silence fascist and extreme right voices, but doesn't want them in any kind of political power. That's because when the fascists are in charge, they aren't that keen on free speech for anyone else. of they dont want them in power..why are they at every EDL march...against everything the EDL say....in a very active way.. agree with the EDL or not, (for the record, I dont) they do NOT seek any political power and are seperate from the BNP.. again, being concerned about one side (who are white) and not another is racist imo.. any extremism is bad and should be EQUALLY shamed/appalled/condemed on its own without saying "well, the other side started it" I could not care less if they are brown, white, yellow, wear a mask, have a beard..if they are preaching hatred and being just plain farking offensive on the streets of the country I live in and gaining national coverage (rightly or wrongly) for their sick cause then they should be condemed... you automitically took a side by saying I was defending someone or a group...shows where your hang your hat Edited 6 January, 2010 by Thedelldays
Verbal Posted 7 January, 2010 Share Posted 7 January, 2010 Of course whoever carried out the petrol bombing is complete scum. But the articles you put up show that they didn't do anything until the petrol bombing. The point is where were the protests and challenges against the extremists simply because they strongly believed their views were wrong? There weren't any. You're assuming that Muslims in Luton did nothing before the racist arson attack. I wonder why? There weren't ANY Muslim protests or actions against extremists? Are you serious? As I've said a few times, you're clearly one of many on here for whom no amount of proof otherwise would change your mind. I note with interest that when I posted a strong and beautifully articulate Muslim protest against Chaudary earlier in this thread, the usual suspects ignored it. A little too inconvenient for their little mindset, obviously.
