RonManager Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Don't want another League 1 team, for variety's sake. Don't want Man U, get them too often, yawn. Otherwise not bothered.
NickG Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 I kept meaning to go to Anfield, never thinking that the chance to go the following season would go! Liverpool away if they get through. Skates at home?
RedAndWhite91 Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Liverpool away - Would like to see Anfield before it's knocked to the ground. Portsmouth home or away - Never been to a derby before. Top 4 team away, but not Man U. Or a team we can beat easily to progress another round.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 As long as they are 'beatable' I don't really mind who we get.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 I hope we don't get a boring Championship team, or a boring Premier League team.
.comsaint Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 I have glared into my mystic ball of the future & can tell you all that we draw Manchester City out of the bag in round 4.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Portsmouth home or away - Never been to a derby before. where've you been?! As in, the last few times we played them in the prem.
SamKimish Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Would enjoy watching the demise of Fratton Park through my own eyes so away to Portsmouth please.
Huffton Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Arsenal, Man U , Newcastle or either of the scousers away. Failing that post admin firesale skates at St Marys please
Bentley Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Arsenal at Home. Just so we get the gate receipts.
The Kraken Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Arsenal away. A London away day,, and I've not been to the new library yet. Mind you, watching us get thumped by their third string would be a bit humbling.
The Kraken Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Arsenal at Home. Just so we get the gate receipts. If it's money you're after you want Man U away; equal share of gate receipts between the two teams in FA Cup games.
Gingeletiss Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 As long as they are 'beatable' I don't really mind who we get. Pimpy it is then!!!
Joesaint Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 at home is good and someone who we have a good chance of beating!!! it would be good to go as far as possibe, I know money is not a major issue but the extra money would be nice... I feel pretty greedy saying that the skates wouldnt like me would they!!
CLOTH EARS Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 I'd love a crack at Pompey at our place but we'll get Liverpool at Home!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 I kept meaning to go to Anfield, never thinking that the chance to go the following season would go! Liverpool away if they get through. Skates at home? Yep Liverpool away would be gr8! Gets my vote too Think we will get leicester away though
RonManager Posted 2 January, 2010 Author Posted 2 January, 2010 Yep Liverpool away would be gr8! Gets my vote too Wouldn't you rather someone closer to Glesga, like Pollok or Third Lanark?
stevegrant Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Arsenal or Wigan away. Pompey would be far too much of a distraction and even with their current woes, I'd still expect them to beat us quite comfortably. Maybe next year...
Hatch Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Arsenal away please, seeing as I got tickets already
Glasgow_Saint Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Wouldn't you rather someone closer to Glesga, like Pollok or Third Lanark? Good Glasgow knowledge Some real nice golf courses in Lanark
View From The Top Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 My nipper would like Moan U and I'd like Arsenal or a northern club, but not a L1 club.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Yep Liverpool away would be gr8! Gets my vote too Think we will get leicester away though Be good to give Pearson a nice round of applause anyways.
RonManager Posted 2 January, 2010 Author Posted 2 January, 2010 Good Glasgow knowledge Some real nice golf courses in Lanark Bad Glasgow knowledge. 3rd Lanark played at Cathkin Park in Crosshill.
Thedelldays Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Luton is a place that has people that verbally abused servicemen returning from war says it all really
beatlesaint Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Home to Spurs would be nice. Must be around about the time of old saggy chops court case so be nice to give him a good send off
Pat from Poole Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Arsenal or Wigan away. Pompey would be far too much of a distraction and even with their current woes, I'd still expect them to beat us quite comfortably. Maybe next year... I would have agreed with you on that last season but they're a total shambles now. I would really fancy us to beat them if we were drawn against them, their fans would lose sleep big-time at the very real prospect of losing to us when we're two leagues below them.

Unfortunately I agree with Steve; it really is a massive drop that we have been through in the past 5 years and, as awful as they are looking in the Prem, the blue filth are still streets ahead of us on the pitch. I don't like saying it, but it's obviously true, at least for now. Next year is a different proposition but this year I'd be very happy to stay away from our fishy poor relations.
saintquin Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 The lowest team possiable at home. I'd rather we went as far as we can and become the nations favourite underdog then get knocked out by a "big club" in the early rounds.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 If it's money you're after you want Man U away; equal share of gate receipts between the two teams in FA Cup games. That's a pragmatic thought. Wouldn't want the Skates just in case they win and it becomes the turning point of their season. Coventry at home would suit me
Saint_clark Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 A p*ss easy team, Portsmouth, or Spurs. (I realise the first two suggestions are similar enough to be combined as one).
gaz Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 A p*ss easy team, Portsmouth, or Spurs. (I realise the first two suggestions are similar enough to be combined as one). Ditto, wouldn't mind a team below us either... another easy cup run please!
BadgerBadger Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Brighton away so we can spank their asses and show them it was a one off - hopefully
OldNick Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 anybody but Pompey. They still would beat us and in doinbg so could start a resurgence. When they beat us 1-0 at FP it transformed them from a relegation team to go on and win their first game away and many more.
Saints foreva Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Anyone but Pompey. Coventry would be nice .
Arizona Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Ah the anual, "I want to get beaten by the Skates in the Cup!" malarkey. If they overcome Coventry then they will have beaten a much better side than us away from home. We will, in all likelyhood lose that game. Why not wait another season and hammer AFC Portsmouth in the 1st round? Besides, if they get us, the game will be a sell out and they will get more money.
VectisSaint Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Arsenal at Home. Just so we get the gate receipts. We'd get a lot more from Arsenal away. Gate receipts are shared in the Cup (45%/45%). We need to draw someone at home, don't care who but would be better if we had a chance of winning. So thats Liverpool then.
Micky Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Stoke at home - winnable game with some old boys coming back too...!
Um Bongo Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Man City Home Or Away Arsenal Away No CCC or L1 team please.
The Kraken Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 Stoke at home - winnable game with some old boys coming back too...! Another loon that thinks we'll beat a Premier League team. I agree with the old faces line, but to think we'd get near giving them a good game is tremendously naive.

Ah but by the time the next round is played they will have no players left. They left out 4 of their first choice players today, any coincidence they are not cup tied now?
southamptonfclegend Posted 2 January, 2010 Posted 2 January, 2010 arsenal away liverpool away or some sh*te team at home (Pompey?)
