I like to improve the catering facilities at SMS, to be able to get a drink at half time would help, at the moment I would have to leave my seat before half time to make sure that I'm in the queue early enough to get a drink.

and to resurrect an old idea...

Why not get some decent beer in?? Newbury races used to do great pints from the HogBack Brewery. Why can't we??? The lager and cider currently on offer are enough to make you teetotal!

The pump/blow system that was supposed to be connected to the under pitch pipework was reported to be able to handle 8 inches of rain in an hour, what materialised during the post mortem following the Crystal Palarse game being postponed was that the drains that the system would connect to outside the stadium could not handle the increased waterflow the drainage system would create, also on that same night the high tide in the Solent stifled the flow of rainwater away from all the city's drains.

Hood down, Anorak off!

After the shambles at the ticket office prior to todays match, I would actually now like to see some basic level of customer service from the ticket planning team at SMS. E.g....

(1) When you write to ST holders and tell them that a perk of buying an ST is that their seat will be made available to them, please keep to that promise. I and many others in the Kingsland (for example) were not offered that opportunity.

(2) Invest in a better ticketing system that can handle a modest walk-up at least for collections - that's people that have bought in advance of the game - rather making them queue for 35 minutes missing a significant portion of the match!

Leaving it until 15 minutes before kick off to turn up and collect your ticket is cutting it very fine even if the line was short.

Has anyone seen the 'graffiti' on the concourses at Stoke?

All football related.

Shame we can't get Big Ron's caricatures of players old and current enlarged and copied to cover the dark depressing breeze-block walls in our concourses.

Perhaps the beer wouldn't seem so bad if we had something cheerful to smile at?

No No No No No.

Grafitti is not art, it's horrible and makes an area look like a sh*thole. It's like litter and dog sh*t and Cashconverters. If you want these things go to Shirley.

They have a chavvy mural at Fratton Park which looks terrible, although it could be argued it compliments the delapidated ground and slum as a whole.

St Marys needs sprucing up, and i don't mean yuppy flats and other sterile developments. There needs to be quality attractions and shops and places to eat and drink. Pompey have the spinaker tower and at least try to capitalise on their maritime history, yet in Southampton theres nothing. Ocean Village used to be semi decent, but that got ruined a few years ago with flats taking over the waterfront. The area opposite the Itchen Stand will probably end up as sterile flats, but it'd so much better if the area was utilised for the pleasure of all and not just a few. Bars and attractions and restaurants would be fantastic and by having such facilities it'd make St Marys a stadium of national standing, as oposed to a backwater. Crowds would go up and the ground would get more trade for other things like concerts and business functions. If Mr Liebherr invested in developing the surrounding area and if the city council got off their arses and promoted Southampton and did their bit then both the club and the citys profile would be raised enormously.

Yes I agree with this mate, if we are closing down areas of the ground, is it too much to ask that they open all the bars and canteens in other areas.

The roof needs looking at. There is a big old leak above where I sit, usually it lands on the bloke in front but if the wind changes direction...

I agree that on this occasion we were held up by incredibly congested traffic coming into the west of the City (I usually come in over the bridge) and so could not get there as early as I planned. However, this is about the relative number of windows apportioned to collections versus new sales. Surely if you've taken the trouble to pre-book seats you should expect to be able to walk up and have just a short wait to get your tickets? The new sales queues were moving a lot quicker and one guy on the other thread on this said he bought a ticket at the window for the same price as pre-book which makes a mockery of the system (if true).

I have my own mastic gun and will bring it to the Huddersfield match if you like.
