SaintRichmond Posted 31 December, 2009 Share Posted 31 December, 2009 I have just been to the box office and I have my "normal" seat in Kingland Centre (Block 31), so quite pleased. A steady stream of people there buying tickets. Notices still saying that the Chapel is closed for this game. I am very pleased for you I bought my ticket WEEKS ago, when the Club categorically stated that MY ST seat would NOT be available, as that section would NOT BE OPEN MORAL ????? NEVER EVER Buy your ticket in advance any more:cool:

I am pleased for you too You bought today, got the seats you wanted (most likely somebody's usual seat) ..... and so, you are right, there is no need for you to moan But their are other people, many of them, whether they are ST holders or not, who bought their ticket weeks ago, and were told that certain Blocks would NOT be open, and were offerred an alternative seat. Whitey Grandad Posted 31 December, 2009 Share Posted 31 December, 2009 You bought your season ticket for league games not cup games, HTH Yes, we knew that, but I think you've missed the point. One of the benefits of buying a ST, and thereby supporting the club financially, is that you will have priority on buying tickets for all cup games as is explicitly stated in the new supporters' charter. Quite clearly in this instance this has not happened. The seats in question have been offered for general sale without the STs having an earlier opportunity to purchase them. What on earth was the point of giving ST holders one week priority for buying seats in another part of a stadium which was expected to be less than half full? Chez Posted 31 December, 2009 Share Posted 31 December, 2009 how much exactly is saved by not having certain sections/stands open? What advantage is there in this 'priority'? To be able to guarantee a ticket to a game that will never be a sell-out? I have the best view in the ground and I have persevered with my season tickets even through all the rubbish that we have endured in the last few seasons because I wanted to keep that position. There is another important point that the club will miss out on a lot of ticket sales from ST holders who would normally have gone to this game if they could have bought their usual seat.
