I thought at the time that he dived. There may well have been contact (not sure) but `he went down' with ease shall we say. What goes around...

Well yeah, certainly not complaining given the amount of **** they got away with all afternoon.

That incident that particularly annoyed me was when Gillespie blatantly dived over on the right touchline. The ref gave us the throw-in rather than the free-kick he was looking for, so he must have seen the dive, but didn't book him, and instead decided to book Trotman for having a go at him.

What was even worse was the player who deliberately went behind Waigo who was walking backwards so that he would knock him over, and then grabbed his ankle in apparent agony to make it seem that he had been stamped on.

Good point, I'd forgotten about that one!

absolutely. Since when did pointing out that an oponent has cheated constitute a yellow card yet cheating and getting caught does not?

I also wasn't impressed by Thomas getting a yellow card for being attacked by an oponent, although I admit I didn't see that incident quite so clearly.

and when he didn't get booked gets up immediately. Cheating bastard.

Difficult to tell from the clip, keeper swings his leg but our guy sure does go down like a sack of ....spuds

he's also running nowhere, which is the vital clue.

Think of it this way - If that had happened in the middle of the field it would have been a free kick. You can't go swinging your leg out nowhere near the ball. It was in the box, it was a penalty.
