Whilst we still have two very difficult games versus MK Dons in the Southern Area final, it's worth noting that if we were to play Leeds in the final, it is likely that we would get a smaller allocation of tickets than Leeds fans.

Correct me if I am wrong please, butThe JPT (Wembley) final tickets are based on average attendances over the course of the season, meaning that Leeds could massively outnumber us at Wembley if the teams were to get through.

Does anyone know exactly how the allocation of tickets works?

.....Even more the reason for those of you thinking of half year season tickets to get the m now. Especially if season ticket holders are able to buy 2 per ticket.

My understanding is that both sides get an allocation of 35,000. If one of the teams do not require their full allocation (which is irrelevant if it is us and Leeds), more tickets can become available (Luton took 43,000).

Wot's the story with tickets for MK away?

I spent 10 mins last night in the infernal hell that is the OS and absolutely not a dickie's on there (at least that I could see).

Are we contracted via the League to that shi7e website layout/content or is there scope to bring it 'in house'?

Lord Mawhinney wouldn't want more then 30,000 of us anyway.

I don't see the problem. We are averaging 19/20,000 gates. Those people who need tickets will get tickets.

We will get an allocation of around 30/35 thousend should we get there.

Anyone who deserves to get a ticket will get one easily.

There's no point whining about it on here when we've still got a couple of games to play and the allocation hasn't even been announced.

Posted

I'm not whining about getting a ticket, because I will easily, I'm just whining if what was said in the original post is true about Leeds getting a bigger allocation.

OS states that all season ticket holders will be able to buy 2 tickets for the final. Preference will then be given to people who bought tickets for the home leg of the area final. How many STs did we sell this year? Not clear whether this will also apply to 1/2 season ticket holders...

Oh and Sandwich, tickets for the leg @ MK will be announced soon, going to be live on SS as well...

I know we still have to get past MK Dons yet, but 'if' we do get to the final, I think the club should split our allocation into areas, ie certain blocks for Northam regulars, etc so that we can get a decent noisy area together and the peoples who want to take their flasks and keep quiet can have their own area as well.

I personally think the club should not allow Northam fans to go to the JPT final (if we get there). In the main they are hooligan yoof who bring shame, yes, shame, on this club. The sooner we eradicate these scum from our fanbase the better.

Good thinking, I expect we keep people awake when they are trying to snooze!

I can't see this on the OS? I see that you can buy two tickets for each ST for the Area Final but can't see any mention of the Wembley final?

"Should Southampton progress to The Final at Wembley, as already promised Season Ticket Holders will be eligible to buy two tickets each.

After this sales window has passed, preference would be given to supporters who have attended the Area Final first (subject to availability) and they would be eligible to one ticket each again, subject to availability."

Or we can just say, everyone willing to stand and sing should buy a ticket in the lower tier behind the goal.

Yes. That is basically what spurs did for the carling cup final. Whole end behind the goal stood and looked superb with top atmosphere v Man Utd, saints v Leeds could be similar

not worth thinking about now though really as we're bound to lose to MK

I'll be buying a cheap ticket for the home game against MK Dons. I probably won't bother going but it's the safe way to guarentee a seat for the final.:)

Why, do we wake you up when we cheer causing you to spill your flask of hot chocolate all over your blanket?

The majority of people around me in the Northam are middle-aged, normal blokes, who are there every game, and a lot of them I see on away trips too. You are seriously deluded. I do hope you are joking.

In all fairness under 16s, scarfers and women should not be allowed.

Its about time saints lost its family club title and started messing around with the big boys.

We have to many ghey fans.

Surely the Northam stand is full of girlie types and boys whose voices haven't broken yet. How else can you explain the high pitched nancy boy chants that they send forth week in, week out. Now - if the Northam were full of real men with decent gutteral low pitched powerful voices we could generate a decent intimidating atmosphere like this

(I am determined to get this link into every thread) ;-)

I really hate threads like this as they always come back to bite you on the arse. Can we just get to the JPT final first and then bloody worry about it!

I've heard that the attendance will be limited to 55k :( It was limited to this amount last season despite the fact that Luton Town could have sold another 20,000 tickets. They were pretty annoyed as it would have been a good earner for the club, but they were told that there was no movement on the 55k due to a prior agreement with Wembley officials and police. It's a joke.

No thanks, get a crap view from behind the goal bottom tier.

I didn't go to the Millenium Stadium for the Cup Final, but was this a problem for that game? It didn't seem to be the case on TV as our fans gave a fantastic account of themselves on the day.

Also, I went to the ZDS Cup Final at the old Wembley and again, the singing and chanting that day wasn't just restricted to pockets of fans.
