Master Bates Posted 23 December, 2009 Share Posted 23 December, 2009 Taxi driver Abdirashid Issa abandoned his car in huge tailbacks and trekked through a blizzard for 4 miles to deliver vital emergency blood supplies to a hospital. He could have stayed in his nice warm car, but he didn't, fair play. In todays Echo. Any other winter heroes anyone knows of?

dune Posted 23 December, 2009 Share Posted 23 December, 2009 Walking 4 miles along a pavement with a dusting of snow isn't exactly difficult.
Johnny Bognor Posted 23 December, 2009 Share Posted 23 December, 2009 Walking 4 miles along a pavement with a dusting of snow isn't exactly difficult. Indeed, but if you consider the jobsworth attitude of many in the Public Sector, an act like this really stands out, so fair play to him.
Master Bates Posted 23 December, 2009 Author Share Posted 23 December, 2009 Walking 4 miles along a pavement with a dusting of snow isn't exactly difficult. The pavements are pretty slippery out and about. Especially at the time he was out, I think he was on the motorway too. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4818826.Hero_walked_miles_in_a_blizzard_to_deliver_blood_supplies/

I agree. Normally those Public Sector Workers would have said "I'm not getting out of my nice warm car, I'd rather people die". So well done this fella for breaking the union rules that basically have us all as secondary to their loony lefty ideas. What makes this even more impressive is that this chap is a Muslim! Normally they're just trying to blow us up aren't they? Well done Muslim fella for not only saving lives, but not actively blowing us all to bits like you lot normally do.
