Sheaf Saint Posted 23 December, 2009 Share Posted 23 December, 2009 At least he won't have to face the Iraq inquiry until after the election... http://http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8428074.stm Not sure whether I agree with that or not. If Brown's testimony to the inquiry shows him to be in any way guilty of any kind of misconduct in the run up to the invasion, then the public deserve to be told about that before deciding whether or not to vote for him or his party IMO. OldNick Posted 23 December, 2009 Share Posted 23 December, 2009 to win the election is a poisoned chalice. I would be happy for Brown to stay and reap what he has sewn. The tories will come into power on the back of the worst finaces ever (unlike what brown inherited) and we will have misery and hardship. You only have to look at the Eurostar nonsense to see that the people have no stomach for anything not pleasant and will soon turn on the new faces.Brown will then of course be there telling them that 'he told them they were better off under him.' Cameron lose the electrion and let the looney left get what they fully deserve for their total ruin of our economy. 175billion ffs, how are we going to pay that back, let alone all the hidden borrowings. JackFrost Posted 23 December, 2009 Share Posted 23 December, 2009 What may happen at the next election is a hung parliament and we may have a coalition running the country. Brown and Blair's leadership has been so totally gutless, all they've done is relied on spin and sunk their heads deeper into the sand. Blair just decided to go when he saw what was coming for dear Gordon. Love or hate her politics, our last strong leader was Maggie. She certainly could stick two fingers up at the yanks when she needed to.

That's just in the last 12 months. The UK debt currently stands at: £861 billion and rising fast You can watch it 'live' here: http://www.debtbombshell.com/ ...and the governments own forecasts reckon it will reach £1.1 Trillion (a trillion being 1000 billion or "billions" as out great leader likes to call them) The only sentence where you can mention Gordon Brown, Economic and Competence all together without sounding like an arse is this one.
