Tac-tics Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 just been on talksport...they have heard (unconfirmed) reports that he and citeh have parted company... I guess we shall see hiddink or jurgen for the job ha strange strange timing.
equalizer Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 Can't see it anywhere but it could happen as they would want to get the new man in before the transfer window opens. Benitez should get the bullet if they lose to the skates. Liverpool are playing sh*t and are actually managing to make the skates look good.
Hopkins Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 He has a game in half an hour. After the game maybe but I doubt before the game seeing as he's just been pictured walking into the dressing room.
TopGun Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 Personally I think Mark Hughes is a good manager to look after overpaid brats. I'm sure he takes no sh#t and I'm not sure who would prove to be a better manager at City. If true, it's a bit like getting rid of Paul Hart at Pompey. What more do the directors expect?

Mourinho is the man for tha job. He gets under fergies skin and knows how to build a PL winning team.
Kadeem Hardison Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 If true, it's a bit like getting rid of Paul Hart at Pompey. What more do the directors expect? Are you serious?
St Landrew Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 Mark Hughes is a good manager, but he doesn't quite have the charisma yet, and Man City are understandably not patient enough to wait. They have pots of money, which they are quite happy to part with, so why waste time with a lowish profile manager. They're looking to win the Premiership, and be the biggest club, not be upper-mid table fodder.

Baj Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 Got Man City game on now ready to watch, will let you know if he comes out the tunnel or not!
Baj Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 he's just walked out the tunnel and sat down... so premature reports methinks!
Thedelldays Posted 19 December, 2009 Author Posted 19 December, 2009 apparently, mancini is going to take over
Thedelldays Posted 19 December, 2009 Author Posted 19 December, 2009 tell you what roy hodgson would be a great shout

saint lard Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 Mancini to be installed.Press conference at 19.00
S-Clarke Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 load of crap nope BREAKING NEWS: Manchester City have confirmed the sacking of manager Mark Hughes, and announced the appointment of Roberto Mancini as his replacement.
TopGun Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 Mark Hughes is a good manager, but he doesn't quite have the charisma yet, and Man City are understandably not patient enough to wait. They have pots of money, which they are quite happy to part with, so why waste time with a lowish profile manager. hamster Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 Mancinni is good though, but I hope Sparky screwed them good and proper for the diabolical way in which they have behaved. He'll have a nice little wad in his back pocket for his trouble anyway so probably not that miffed and he's a good chance of getting some decent TV deals for the World Cup now. Everyone wins imo.
Arizona Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 Mancinni? How can we start "Pardew to Man City???" threads now?
St Landrew Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 Mancinni? How can we start "Pardew to Man City???" threads now? Why would we have wanted to anyway, mate..?
Deanovski Posted 19 December, 2009 Posted 19 December, 2009 came out wrong i meant its like stupid as in load of crap.
St Landrew Posted 20 December, 2009 Posted 20 December, 2009 Mancini then  Yeah, I'm as flummoxed as you on that decision. I would have thought they would have got someone like Guus Hiddink in there.
Thedelldays Posted 20 December, 2009 Author Posted 20 December, 2009 Yeah, I'm as flummoxed as you on that decision. I would have thought they would have got someone like Guus Hiddink in there. it has been reported that Hiddink and Mourinho both turned the job down earlier this week
RonManager Posted 20 December, 2009 Posted 20 December, 2009 Surpised it didn't happen earlier. Give him a team of underdogs and he's fine, but he was always out of his depth once the takeover took place around him.
Mao Cap Posted 20 December, 2009 Posted 20 December, 2009 Rather a rotten thing to do. Still - lie down with dogs and you get up with fleas, ennit.
Tac-tics Posted 21 December, 2009 Posted 21 December, 2009 Be interesting to see how Mancini get's on, I don't rate him. Saying that, he'll proberbly exced now.
Andy_Porter Posted 21 December, 2009 Posted 21 December, 2009 it has been reported that Hiddink and Mourinho both turned the job down earlier this week Fair play to Hiddink he can do a lot better than that shower.
Thedelldays Posted 21 December, 2009 Author Posted 21 December, 2009 to be fair...hughes was pretty poor in the league really for them
Andy_Porter Posted 21 December, 2009 Posted 21 December, 2009 to be fair...hughes was pretty poor in the league really for them Indeed, still not sure Mancini is the man to take them forward. I'm sure he will command the respect of the players more than Hughes though. Could make the difference. They really should have made Hiddink an offer he can't refuse.
Rory Posted 21 December, 2009 Posted 21 December, 2009 Doesn't Ambramovic fund Hiddink's wages for managing the Russian team? There's either something in his contract that says he's not allowed to sign for another English team other than Chelsea or he will be on the Blues' radar if Ancellotti doesn't work out in the long run.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 21 December, 2009 Posted 21 December, 2009 Indeed, still not sure Mancini is the man to take them forward. I'm sure he will command the respect of the players more than Hughes though. Could make the difference. They really should have made Hiddink an offer he can't refuse. But didn't the team lead a 'revolt' against the sacking because they already had respect for Hughes and thought his sacking was unfair?
Thedelldays Posted 21 December, 2009 Author Posted 21 December, 2009 just watching the press conference and Journos (who said time and time again that hughes was not good enough for city) ask really, REALLY stupid questions
