RedAndWhite91 Posted 18 December, 2009 Share Posted 18 December, 2009 What's smart about pointing out the fact that stupid ginger virgins that wear santa hats, and have great big man boobs get the words to the songs wrong? "Alan pardew's red army" is harder to sing than red and white army. I think you might be one of the pork pork brigade come to think of it. LOL@you The pedantic correction was the smart-arse bit, not your sweeping generalisations. I can assure you I've never shouted 'pork' at a football match, never worn a santa hat at a game and I have brown hair. Nice try, but you're wrong, LOL@you. I think you might be one of these people who are bitter at everyone else, judging by your last few posts. Or you are just trying to get noticed on an internet forum by calling everything under the sun a mongtard.

Andy_Porter Posted 18 December, 2009 Share Posted 18 December, 2009 It's not guaranteed, but he will have to put the game of his life in. Absolute rubbish. We've played plenty of good teams with James at right back and won without him putting in the performance of his life, don't really understand why Leeds would have to be any different. If we play James at RB then we will lose. How can you be so sure exactly? Did they sign Messi without me noticing?

He can do it, he clearly showed that at the end of last season. Seems to Have gone back to his old ways to a certain extent. If he can sort his positioning out, that's where 90% of his trouble originates. I don't know why Pardew has not tried Thomas at RB and James in front, Thomas was not that bad previously in that position? Pardew seems gung ho about this game, so I get the feeling he knows something or has something particular in mind. Either way, I feel Leeds have the edge after resting so many players in midweek. Given a choice I would far prefer to take the points off Colchester than Leeds, but it really would be a big step forward to take points from both. The way Pardews talking it sounds something like (without Schniederlin), will be very interested to see the strarting line up. Bart Thomas Perry/Trotts Jaidi Harding Waigo James Hammond Lallana Lambert Connolly

Pardew obviously likes footballers so prefers to play James, I can see where people are coming from when they think we should play Thomas at right back but I just don't agree, we gain a bit of mettle in defence and lose a lot of attacking emphasis. We go long too often as it is, with Thomas in the side it would be ten times worse. His positioning and aerial ability are both poor, his distribution is like Beckham's compared to Thomas. Hopefully next month we will see a proper right back come in and James can start fighting for one of the midfield spots.

Hopefully next month we will see a proper right back come in and James can start fighting for one of the midfield spots. The problem is that we have very little options in that position without Murty. You are forced by exclusion with James or Thomas. I really do not know which would be better in that position, but I have a very definite bias for having James in midfield, especially without Schniederlin. I thought Thomas was acceptable at RB previously, but obviously others and Pardew saw something different. Not long back, I remember Pardew raving about James to Coppell, so he obviously see's a lot in the lad, but I can't think that applies to RB? I fully take your point with Thomas, but the issues James creates there at the present, are you going to be any better off? The alternative would be James with Waigo / Antonio giving cover in front, now that looks like suicide against Leeds?
Rasiak-9- Posted 18 December, 2009 Share Posted 18 December, 2009 Fuels my belief that if we're gonna beat this team we really need to attack them. dubai_phil Posted 19 December, 2009 Share Posted 19 December, 2009 Was 21C but raining at 4:30 this morning when I landed back here, then had a thunderstorm about 6am, effing flight was "fuller than a binge drinkers' bladder" last night. Badly bruised ribs from the a**hole next to me who decided to spend all the flight stretching his elbows sideways. I won though, made sure he knocked my mini bottle of red wine into his own lap. Sweet Hope EoA doesn't freeze to death up there today. Not sure about the anti-freeze capabilities of Old Speckled Hen. For us southern softies down here, Norwich was ridiculously freezing and it's got a lot cold colder there since. Not easy finding thermals to buy down here. Will they turn on their undersoil heating to give the players warm puddles? Will we get away with playing football like we did against Norwich that ended with looping balls in to the box? or will we learn to get more dangerous crosses in? One & only time I went to Leeds was the LC semi first leg, it was sub zero that night and snow everywhere as well. Tough call, but a repeat of that draw would be a great result, hope I can stay awake until 7pm local time today
