benjii Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/Gallery/0,,10280~1906537,00.html If these don't make a Saints fan smile then nothing will. The one with Papa and the kid is brilliant (look at the Norwich players in the background!), as are the ones of the Saints platers lined up together and celebrating.
Whitey Grandad Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 That is brilliant work and the photographer should be proud of them, although how anybody can concentrate on the players when the shootouts going on I don't know. I like the one of papa's second. The looks of horror on the Norwich players' faces! I don't know how Papa can hit the ball, his eyes are looking elsewhere.
Matthew Le God Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 The one with Wayne Thomas and Neal Trotman is awesome Thomas is recreating Edvard Munch's "The Scream"

I saw that - classic case of giving the keeper "the eyes"! (Or not!)
St Landrew Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 All the photos are excellent, especially Papa and the Kid, and the few mentioned above. But this is my favourite. The one after Wayne Thomas scored the decider. This a team that enjoys playing together and winning together. Really great photo:
Whitey Grandad Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 It's a pity that there isn't any phots of the reaction of the Norwich players when they missed their last penalty. Some were hopping up and down with clenched fists in frustration.

Some were hopping up and down with clenched fists in frustration. Not really bothered about Norwich or the negative side of football. There's plenty of that around. I just like seeing SFC enjoying some success again.
St Landrew Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 But if we succeed, other must fail! I think we've had our fair share of failure. Let's concentrate on some success.
Coastal Saint Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Agree about the photo. When I saw it I thought what a great screen saver it would make.
Victor Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 St Landrew, please tell a technological ignorameous how you managed to get that as .jpg ... I was about to print and scan that lot - they are excellent.
Saint_clark Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Looking at that pic above, it got me thinking - James must be really proud of how he turned himself around from last year. He's established himself as part of a winning, confident side.

Saint_clark Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 My favourite also and my new desktop background. I tried that, everyones face was covered by an icon. I just use this one; http://img192.yfrog.com/i/dsc00413zs7.jpg/
Victor Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Right click, from drop down menu 'Save image as' use new pane to browse to folder where you want to save it. Click Save. Thanks for responding, but reason I asked is that 'right click' seems to be blocked on OS for me - have got that one from St Landrew OK but can't get others from OS.
Iowsaintsfan Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 The 2 santas where next to me at the back of block 41, along with some very annoying Yoof! - must be getting old

I was about to print and scan that lot - they are excellent. Sure. It's quite easy, especially from the Saints website. Select the pic you want. Wait for it to become the main picture. Now right-click onto it, and select either Copy Image Location, if you wish to post it elsewhere, or Save Image, if you wish to save it to your location/computer. After Copy Image Location, come here, [or wherever else you wish to post the pic] open the reply to post window, and click on the Insert Image icon. [You must have the full WYSIWYG editor available to do this, IIRC] Insert the image address into the pop-up window, and click OK. Your picture will be displayed. You can put text above or below the image if you want. Have a practice with Preview Post, just to get it right. HTH
Iowsaintsfan Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Wish they had some of the fans reactions too
St Landrew Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 One of the best saints photo's ever, screen saver on phone and laptop! Hopefully one similar due to promotion come May. Thought I'd give it a go as a Desktop Background, and it works really well. Had to move a few icons around so Rickie Lambert's face wasn't obscured, but it looks great. That's going to make me smile for a long time to come. BTW, notice anything odd about this photo..?
St Landrew Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 RL doesn't have a left leg? Correct..! Obviously he removed it as he wasn't going to use his left peg in the shoot-off.
Whitey Grandad Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 RL doesn't have a left leg? I never noticed before! Think how many he would score if he had two.

Is this the photo where captain Hammond sends Thomas down? Seriously, where on earth is Lamberts leg.
RonManager Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Caption - Thomas and Trottman to group - 'are you gonna let Rickie have his leg back or what?' Group - 'what leg, we ain't seen no leg guvnor'.
Tac-tics Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Does anyone not think Rickie looks like a bloke belonging in a 'beechmans cold and flu advert'?!?
St Landrew Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 (edited) Is this the photo where captain Hammond sends Thomas down? Seriously, where on earth is Lamberts leg. It certainly looks like the point where Thomas is being told to go and take a penalty, because he looks as though he's just about to be on his way. The only thing I can think of what has happened to Rickie's left leg, is that he's kicking Thomas's arse with it, to help him along. Was there anybody in the crowd behind the players that noticed that..? Edited 16 December, 2009 by St Landrew

HTH Victor, if St Landrew's advice doesn't work (which it does on Firefox, but doesn't on Internet Explorer) you can always use 'View Source' to find the pictures.... In the source file, search for 'javaImages' and you should be able to see all of the images listed. Simply copy the path (say '/javaImages/6d/ba/0,,10280~7912045,00.jpg') , and add 'http://www.saintsfc.co.uk' to the begining... as so http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/javaImages/6d/ba/0,,10280~7912045,00.jpg Then you can use that url to navigate to an image you can right click and 'save picture as' on... [bTW the fact the OS has repeated the alt text for each image is in breach of the W3C accessibility standards... oh noes (even I can't sink to that level of pedantic can I?] Edited 16 December, 2009 by Joensuu

Made in Southampton Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 One of the best saints photo's ever, screen saver on phone and laptop! Hopefully one similar due to promotion come May. +1 my friend. It really does give you a sence of well being to see this photo. I think it captures in a true sence where our beloved club is at the moment. Fantastic stuff. My desktop background will only change if they come up with a better one when we win the JPT. Hammond lifting the trophy anyone?
bpsaint Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 (edited) Does anyone not think Rickie looks like a bloke belonging in a 'beechmans cold and flu advert'?!? Can see the similarities yeah. Dunno why but whenever I see a picture of Lambert I can't help but imagine him in a tracksuit and Hackett cap. With regards to that celebratory photo, its great to see that the win clearly means a lot to Trotman too, even though he may no longer be here come the first leg of the next round. RedAndWhite91 Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Does anyone not think Rickie looks like a bloke belonging in a 'beechmans cold and flu advert'?!? Seriously, at my local chemist there is a big sign advertising something, flu jab possibly, and the bloke on the ad could be Lambert! I'll try and get a pic next time I'm down there.
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 The pic of Waigos celebration is awesome!
