S-Clarke Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 best draw imo, always good to play the deciding leg at home.
Thedelldays Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 (edited) are Leeds away first leg.. if so, probably set up by the JPT people to get the two big boys into the final.. Edited 16 December, 2009 by Thedelldays
saintwarwick Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 are Leeds away first leg.. if so, probably set up by the JPT people to get the two bug boys into the final.. Doubt if it was fixed but I'm sure the sponsors want a saints/leeds final
SO16_Saint Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Excellent news! When will ticket news be released, does anyone know? Guess it will be: ST => Members => Previous round attendees => General Sale
voteforpedro Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Excellent news! When will ticket news be released, does anyone know? Guess it will be: ST => Members => Previous round attendees => General Sale That would be the fairest way, but unfortunately I think its more likely to be simply: ST Members General sale
Matthew Le God Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 are Leeds away first leg.. if so, probably set up by the JPT people to get the two big boys into the final.. http://www.leedsunited.com/news/jpt-area-finals-leeds-at-home-first-20091216_2247585_1906656
The Kraken Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Do we know if the away goals rule is in effect?
opthomps Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 cant wait for this now. Lets get to Wembley against Leeds. It would be fantastic, and what a coup for Johnstone's. Luck favours us again with a home leg second.
shurlock Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Do we know if the away goals rule is in effect? Away goals applied when it was the LDV Vans trophy (as late as 2006), so yes i guess the rule is still in operation.
alehouseboys Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Wonder how many tickets we'll get. Leeds got 4000 for the league match...whatever we get bet it aint enough!
Andy_Porter Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 We won't take 4000 to Milton Keynes on a Tuesday in January, 2k tops.
La BoIS Saint Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Looked on the Football League site and they don't seem to have the rules!
alehouseboys Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 We won't take 4000 to Milton Keynes on a Tuesday in January, 2k tops. Fair enough...but I think you're wrong.
Saint_clark Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 We won't take 4000 to Milton Keynes on a Tuesday in January, 2k tops. It's on a monday.
krissyboy31 Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 It's on a monday. No, it's week commencing 18th January. If they're televised, one will be Tuesday, the other Wednesday.
Dimond Geezer Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 It's on a monday. Has a date been set yet? I thought it was week commencing 18 Jan.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Has a date been set yet? I thought it was week commencing 18 Jan. I thought it was too, that's what it says on my fixture list.
100%Red&White Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 I'd guess MK will offer us around 5,000 as it's a cup game and they're never going to get near filling it themselves. 32,000 at St Mary's to see us (try and) reach Wembley?
once_bitterne Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 That would be the fairest way, but unfortunately I think its more likely to be simply: ST Members General sale Fine apart from the fact that there are no members anymore.
Saint_clark Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Excellent news! When will ticket news be released, does anyone know? Guess it will be: ST => Members => Previous round attendees => General Sale There are no members, and they've already announced ST holders will have priority. So it will be as you say, just without members.
lambertsrightleg Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 i've got a really bad feeling that it'll be on the 19th which is my sisters 18th birthday thus making it a no go. fingers crossed for a wednesday night then. or all jpt games on tuesadays?
Whitey Grandad Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 i've got a really bad feeling that it'll be on the 19th which is my sisters 18th birthday thus making it a no go. fingers crossed for a wednesday night then. or all jpt games on tuesadays? Like us MK Dons seem to prefer Tuesdays for their home fixtures so unless TV steps in I would expect Tuesday 19th. Can't you buy here a ticket as a present?
Sour Mash Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 i've got a really bad feeling that it'll be on the 19th which is my sisters 18th birthday thus making it a no go. fingers crossed for a wednesday night then. or all jpt games on tuesadays? Fingers crossed mate!
eelpie Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 I see Dons are only 22nd in the form guide with a minus 6 gd http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/CurrentForm/0,,10794~200925,00.html
Hamilton Saint Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Away goals applied when it was the LDV Vans trophy (as late as 2006), so yes i guess the rule is still in operation. There is nothing in the rules of the competition (posted on the FL's website) that mentions away goals. "14.4 In the event of scores being level: - 14.4.1 at the end of ninety minutes’ play in all rounds apart from the Final; and 14.4.2 after the conclusion of the two legs in each Area Final, the winner shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the Laws of Association Football." It seems to me, then, that the winner of the two-tie area final is based on aggregate score after the two matches.
Saint_clark Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 That seems pretty clear then. Away goals don't count, just goes straight to penalties again.
View From The Top Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 One leg will be a Tuesday and another a Wednesday with the Northern Final the same so Sky can show all four. I'm hoping for a Wednesday for the 1st leg as I'm working on the Tuesday evening but I'm overseas for the 2nd leg.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Seeing as the club got rid of 'members' (Stupid ***** Lowe again!) I guess it will go: ST holders Previous round attendees General sale
Crab Lungs Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 I would estimate we would take 3,000-4,000 to MK and stand a very good chance of filling SMS if scores are balanced and the pricing for the home leg is reasonable.
bungle Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Only ST holders who have been to all JPT games so far should be allowed to attend.
saints_is_the_south Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Only ST holders who have been to all JPT games so far should be allowed to attend. Lol. I would certainly like to see a special discount given to those ST holders who have been to every game so far for the area & fingers crossed Wembley final.
View From The Top Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Only ST holders who have been to all JPT games so far should be allowed to attend. Not everyone is a no girlfriend, tedious 9-5, limited life experience uber fan like you.
SNSUN Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 I went last night because I wanted to see that game, not because spending £12 gives me the privilege of getting priority tickets to the next couple of rounds. That said, if we do get priority, I won't be complaining!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Who cares!? The JPT is a naff cup - id be embarrassed if we celebrated winning that! Would be like Justin Rose celebrating after winning a game of crazy golf.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 i've got a really bad feeling that it'll be on the 19th which is my sisters 18th birthday thus making it a no go. fingers crossed for a wednesday night then. or all jpt games on tuesadays? Rule 1
bungle Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Not everyone is a no girlfriend, tedious 9-5, limited life experience uber fan like you. Where's my fishing rod?
saints_is_the_south Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Rule 1 +1! Regarding allocations, if the same rules are applied as they are in FA & League cups then we'd be entitled to 15% of the capacity (22k) so 3,300. Shouldn't be any danger of them bringing anymore than 2k max to SMS I'd have though so no moving the Northam fingers crossed.
View From The Top Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Where's my fishing rod? I merely made a statement of fact.
Andy_Porter Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Only ST holders who have been to all JPT games so far should be allowed to attend. There'd probably be about 25 of us there.
SNSUN Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Rule 1 She's still 17 guys, and... ...oh hell, rule 1. Incidentally, what's the date of the JPT Wembley game if we get through?
Saint_clark Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 She's still 17 guys, and... ...oh hell, rule 1. Incidentally, what's the date of the JPT Wembley game if we get through? Sunday the 28th of march. I booked it off work just after the Charlton game
JustMike Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Who cares!? The JPT is a naff cup - id be embarrassed if we celebrated winning that! Would be like Justin Rose celebrating after winning a game of crazy golf. ummm are you for real?
SNSUN Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Sunday the 28th of march. I booked it off work just after the Charlton game I'm missing most of the World Cup next year due to work, so making this game would be ample consolation! ta.

Thedelldays Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 cool..I went to the charlton game looks like I will be going to wembley
Spades Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 how would you prove attendance at previous rounds if your not a ST holder? Just bring in the ticket stub when you go to the stadium to buy?
landford.saint Posted 16 December, 2009 Posted 16 December, 2009 Not everyone is a no girlfriend, tedious 9-5, limited life experience uber fan like you. I am a season ticket holder who has been to every round so far... NO, I do not work tedious 9-5, NO, I do not have a limited life, and if I had a girlfriend my wife would cut my nuts off.
