Johnny Shearer Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 Woohoo. Thought that we'd go all the way through on pens and have Super Bart score the winner! Ah who am I kidding was bricking it listening to John Salako!
VectisSaint Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 we scored, they equalised, they took the lead on 60 mins we scored in 90mins + 3 to make it 2-2 then we won the shoot out, after 10 pens each or something. amazing. Think my synopsis was more succinct and gave the reader all the information needed

VectisSaint Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 5 if you include the Community Shield. Thats just being silly. Everyone know the Community Shield is next season.
martel Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 Bloody hell we left it late and then some!!!! I was following the text on the beeb, 2-1 down on 90 minutes plus, I thought we were dead and buried, like someone else wrote, this is not the saints I have known for years; that was a fight back and a half.
Minsk Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 I need to pay for Saints Player again. That was the most painful penalty shootout ever, F5ing on here to read the updates. Thanks and well done to all those keeping us ex-pats informed. And an even bigger well done to Papa (or was it HArding?) for getting the equaliser, to Bart for ALL those saves and to those the guys who kept their cool and scored their pens. And a chin up to the 2 who missed, we're still through!!!!!!! God, it feels great being a Saints fan again! I haven't felt this good about them for a VERY long time!!!!!!
S-Clarke Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 and another plus...no yellows for our players on 4 bookings....so they should be available for Saturday.

Saint J 77 Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 Well done Bart !!!!!!!!!!, fantastic turn about, I really thought it was over at 2-1, but Saints have a never say die attitude at the moment, I am impressed and still in shock that we won it!

VectisSaint Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 Does anyone happen to know how it is decided who is at home/away for each leg of the area finals? Guessing we'd rather play away first... I think whoever is at home in the 1st leg will be away in the 2nd leg, but I could be wrong.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 I think whoever is at home in the 1st leg will be away in the 2nd leg, but I could be wrong. Really? seems a strange way of doing it
Mr Saints Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 Saints score an equaliser in the 93rd minute? Saints actually show some b0ll0cks and win ANOTHER penalty shoot out? I love this new mentality that is running right through the club. Thank you Markus and well done Pards.
JustinR Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 Special mention to the 5 year year old who thought it was all over....and papa giving him a cuddle awwww
Secret Site Agent Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 I am completlly breathless. And I have been reliant on BBC and text updates. Glad it is over and we never gave up. Lastv season I would have seen 2-1 and decided we have lost this and stopped listening. Now I keep to it until the fat woman in the Northam sings. (Big grinning smiley thing)
Minsk Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 We drew 2-2 When is the replay? Are we through to the next round? Surely you can't get through to the next round of a cup competition without winning?
rocknrollman no2 Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 Cant remember feeling this good as a Saints fan since the Premiership days. The feelgood factor is certainly back and long may it continue. Happy days. coyrs.
Saint_Jonny Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 That was the best radio listening I am likely to do for the rest of my life. Absolutely brilliant, fantastic, well done SAINTS!!!!!
ooohTerryHurlock Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 Too excited to be able to spell Wembley! tht exited;) .... had a one man disco in the middle of a field in deepest darkest wales! ..... do we own flat 12?
sambosa75 Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 I dont care what competition this is. I dont care what opposition we have had to play. The fact is we are 1 two-legged tie away from a day out at Wembley against a team we have already played and beaten convincingly. Imagine 30-odd thousand Saints fans at Wembley cheering the boys on!!!
saint-luco Posted 15 December, 2009 Posted 15 December, 2009 Just poured more drink...staying up for ever...heart is still in my mouth...this is why we love this football club...alarm goes off at 5:30...oh well :drinkers: still drinking to gotta start work at 5.... no chance
