SparkySaint Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 (edited) I made this video today and wanted to share it with everyone Edited 12 December, 2009 by SparkySaint
SaintDonkey Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Lovely video - better than the one they have on Sky
SparkySaint Posted 12 December, 2009 Author Posted 12 December, 2009 Unfortunate typo! Good vid though. Edit me thinks
saint-luco Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 great well done, looks even better from the side than it did from behind
SparkySaint Posted 12 December, 2009 Author Posted 12 December, 2009 I can't edit it but dunno what I don't really care
St Landrew Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Good video. Controlled power from Ricky. Reminds me a certain other number 7.
Legod Third Coming Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 You should go and work for the football league show!
St Landrew Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 I can't edit it but dunno what I don't really care Well I corrected it for you anyway.
yorkie Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Did anyone go one step beyond and try the Rickie Lambert lament? Fantastic - I think it was done at Walsall last week!
benjii Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Well I corrected it for you anyway. You've ruined my post now. Typical.
SparkySaint Posted 12 December, 2009 Author Posted 12 December, 2009 You've ruined my post now. Typical. But saved my blushes Many thanks
St Landrew Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 You've ruined my post now. Typical. No I haven't because the former title of Free Lick will always remain in our memories.
St Landrew Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 BTW, you left out the penalty. Now that was hit with power.
paris Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Thanks for the two goals guys great stuff andwhat a great roar after each goal...
TopGun Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 AP says Lambert was a fat and unfocused lad when he arrived. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8410201.stm Have to say he did fine for Bristol Rovers so I hope the slimline version keeps doing the biz for us!
Whitey Grandad Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Great work lads! Can you put a dotted line on it showing distance and speed?
Badger Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Deinitely MLTesque freekick. (f'in definitely).
ericofarabia Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Think the club will have to purchase some reinforced netting for the goals before one of his shots bursts the net. What power. What a beautiful thudding sound when he whacks it. RLSGM (I have trademark/patent protection on this abbreviation, so you all owe me 5p each time you use it)
dubai_phil Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Jeez, watched the penalty clip - has that ref been on Strictly Come Dancing? What a load of prancing:-) Thanks for the upload, hope we get a few like that Tuesday night Eric, WTF does RLSGM mean? If you try and say it, it is exactly the same sound that YOU make after 6 Old Speckled Hens! :-)
tpbury Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Brilliant stuff like that is manna from heaven for those of us who can't get the highlights off t'beeb.
chocco boxo Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Was in Chapel yesterday and if that net was not there I think that ball would have made Dock Gate 4 no problem. Great to see fans enjoying SMS again.

Toadhall Saint Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Great vid - well done that man/woman. I just love to see the old onion bag bulge like that!!
B Rabbit Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Nice video...shows it much better than the bbc highlight!
John McAndrew Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 ive put a link up on my facebook so more can see....brilliant free kick and just had that feeling it was going in
Saint_clark Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Lambert could be on 20 goals before january...jesus.
RonManager Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Lambert could be on 20 goals before january...jesus. Jesus is offline at the moment.
Andy_Porter Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Lambert will be on 20 goals before january...jesus. Fixed... Lets just hope Pardew doesn't go all Burley and drop him after Christmas ala Rasiak.
B Rabbit Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Apologies if people have seen this a long long time ago but first time for me... WOW!
St Landrew Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Apologies if people have seen this a long long time ago but first time for me... WOW! Lambert has excellent timing, and is certainly one of the best strikers of a ball I've seen in years. Tbh, I'm a bit puzzled how the bloke has stayed in the lower leagues all his career. He has a great deal of skill and vision, and now that he has much better fitness, he's far too good for League One.
torsaint Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Far far better than BBC. Wonder how much the ball swerved from the free kick. MLT was once timed at 90mph (though not running,of course).
RedAndWhite91 Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Fackin' 'ell, was well further out than I originally thought, watching it from the Northam. The ball swerved a mile.
Red&White Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 That was an absolute beauty, looks even better from your angle.
SparkySaint Posted 13 December, 2009 Author Posted 13 December, 2009 I sit in block 34 but always go down to the kinglands/chapel corner to see the second half goals with my Dad or whoever is using his ticket. I think the last time Saints were shooting to the chapel in the first half was the watford game last season but I may be wrong
Saint_clark Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 So he's still the top scorer in the whole country then. 1 V Orient (for Rovers) 1 V Northampton 1 V Huddersfield 1 V Brentford 1 V Stockport 2 V Yeovil 1 V Gillingham 1 V Oldham 1 V MK Dons 2 V Orient 1 V Charlton 1 V Brighton 1 V Hartlepool 1 V Wycombe 1 V Walsall 2 V Tranmere = 19 so far. Add 10 assists to that and we have 29 goals down to him already.

saints_is_the_south Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 (edited) Apologies if people have seen this a long long time ago but first time for me... WOW! Wow is the only word I can use to describe that goal. Edited 13 December, 2009 by saints_is_the_south
SparkySaint Posted 13 December, 2009 Author Posted 13 December, 2009 Wow is the only word I can use to describe that goal. Peach
dubai_phil Posted 13 December, 2009 Posted 13 December, 2009 Wow is the only word I can use to describe that goal. The word here began with F and ended with eck
