If there was one thing you could do to discredit the "we won against Torquay" campaign, it was quoting the OS in it's favour.

 

Especially given that they also keep referring to Saturday 26th December as "Boxing Day"... :D

its simple isn't it?

 

The 90 game was a draw.

 

The tie / fixture / match /result etc was won.

 

Prior to starting a league game you know the important thing is the score after 90 mins -win/lose/draw.

 

You go into a cup game knowing that the only important thing is the who is going into the next round at the end of the match.

 

Only the winner can go through.

 

We have drawn both games (over the 90).

 

But both matches have been 100% successful and with an end result of us winning the tie/fixture/match and therefore being the team to go through.

 

I changed the title in these threads to "fixtures" rather than games to clarify this.

 

Bottom line is we could not have achieved anything more in these games and so we won.
