Saint_Jonny Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Looking really difficult.. Tue 15 19:45 H Norwich City JPT (S) Sat 19 15:00 A Leeds United FL1 Sat 26 15:00 H Exeter City FL1 Mon 28 15:00 A Colchester FL1 Sat 9 15:00 H Huddersfield FL1 Norwich in the jpt will be hard but winnable Leeds will be the hardest game so far, a point would be massive here Exeter we should look to win for sure, Colchester are riding high so that will be a very tough game away and a dodgy little ground, another draw perhaps, and then free scoring Huddersfield at home... Looking at it after Christmas I'd be happy to be where we are at the moment, as this a very tough run of games. Opinions?
Rory Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 The Norwich game will be our sternest test, IMO. They will be wanting a trip to Wembley too and do have players capable of beating us if we perform as we did in the first half today.
benjii Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 None of those are tough games. We are the best.

Looking at it after Christmas I'd be happy to be where we are at the moment, as this a very tough run of games. Opinions? We're ready for it. We've done the relatively hard thing of winning "winnable" games which the Brighton game showed is not easy. These games should see us maintain focus and avoid complacency. We will drop some points but not many, and in a way we can "afford" to because our points per game in recent weeks is superb.
Thedelldays Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 january looks like a tricky month.. however, our few away games are all against southern teams which could be a good thing
benjii Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Apart from Norwich who are possibly better than us.
Son of Bob Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 I expect us to win every game (with the exception of Leeds where I'd take a point). If our aspirations for a play off place are to be realistic we must win the league games. Simple as that.
CWD Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 IMO we are better than all of those teams and should be looking to dominate whenever we play I love being a saint atm
John B Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Some important games coming up against promotion rivals with possibly new players Saturday, 19 December 2009 Leeds United v Southampton, 15:00 Saturday, 26 December 2009 Southampton v Exeter, 15:00 Monday, 28 December 2009 Colchester v Southampton, 15:00 Saturday, 9 January 2010 Southampton v Huddersfield, 15:00 Saturday, 16 January 2010 Millwall v Southampton, 15:00 Saturday, 23 January 2010 Southampton v Swindon, 15:00 If we can get at least 12 points from these games I believe there is everything to play for
hutch Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 (edited) Every one of those games is winnable. Not saying that we will win them all, but we are capable of winning them all. Even Leeds. Tranmere played their hearts out today, bless 'em, and didn't really trouble us. And we were without 3 of arguably our best players, Davis, Murty and Trot. We only went up 1 place today, but the 3 above us are within our sights. There is a bit of a points gap from 11th to 6th but we're not half way through the season yet. Our current form is not a blip. We are contenders. Edited 12 December, 2009 by hutch
Cabrone Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 If Connolly stays fit and gets selected then I quite fancy our chances of winning all those games apart from Leeds which I think will be a draw. Whilst we may be looking at those fixtures thinking they are tough I 'm sure that every team about to face us is more concerned than we are. We are the form team with arguably the best strike force in the league. Let them worry about us for a change.

I hope you are right but things dont always go right ask Harry as Spurs lost 0 1 today after scoring nine last time at homeg
