for a moment, skim reading, i thought that said pardew in hospital...!

but yeh, that is a good article. - i like what he says about how he looks forward to training at the moment. sounds like it's a great place to me right now!

I'm not sure if it happens already but maybe the squad/club should make these kinds of visits a monthly thing, just to remind some of the players (mainly the nippers) how privileged they are and to help keep them on an even keel?

Lovely stuff. :)

Who's the player on the far right of the group photo? Is it Kayne McClaggon? If so that settles the "is he 6ft 3?" debate once and for all!

McLaggon is still at Eastbourne, I think that guy is Daryl Mclean.

Great article and so nice to see the guys getting involved in the community especially with those unfortunate kids. The spirit in the camp looks fantastic and AP is just so flippin' positive, no wonder we've got that winning mentality back. Just another little example of what a fantastic feeling you get being a part of Saints now.

I thought the picture of morgan, perry, connolly and james was some sort of barber shop quartet at first with a mike in the middle - didn't realise the girl was hooked up to something.

Really good article and he certainly presses all the right buttons, think we are fortunate to have him at this present time

Perceptive too about the support - it was a bit flat against Wycombe I thought. Very quiet for a night game and for some reason I couldn't be arsed to sing and that was the same for a lot of people around me who normally do as well...

Check out the first picture is AP groping or is the Blonde?

Most of the squad are checking it out.

Wayne Thomas is quite clearly staring at her ar$e...!

Even though this might just be another contractual/social obligation for the players this probably means the world to those kids. Some of them have very little joy in their life and a visit like this will give them something positive to concentrate on for weeks before and after. Good on SFC for setting it up.

The club have always been pretty good at this sort of thing. Many years ago a mate's mum was very poorly in Southampton General. She was an avid Saints fan so he wrote to the club to see if they might send her a card.

Much to her delight, one morning in walks Danny Wallace with a card and a big bunch of flowers. Made her day.

Great story

Your right, saints have always been good like that. a few years ago (possibly the promotion season but im not sure) my Mum wrote to both Pompey and Saints to ask for a prize for a charity raffle she was doing in aid of beast cancer research. Within a few days we recieved a signed home and away shirt with a note offering best wishes from saints, and yet to this day we have not heard a word from our fishy friends!

This is a very important role that the players and management do for the sick children.

Well done to the club.[ I was seriously ill in hospital this time 5 years ago, but at the then age of 49, I doubt that I was in the right ward to receive a visit].

Surprised to see Jaidi there, he probably put half of the people in that hospital! ;)

Seriously though, well done Saints. It makes you proud to be from here when you see/read stuff like that. Puts everything into context.
