david in sweden Posted 8 December, 2009 Posted 8 December, 2009 (edited) Leeds really making hard work of Ketttering 1-1 at FT (now extra time) .then pens ? LEEDS ..... Corners 16 LEEDS...... 30 shots .v. 5 How energetic will they be on Saturday? .... don't hold your breath Edited 8 December, 2009 by david in sweden
jam Posted 8 December, 2009 Posted 8 December, 2009 They're away to Brentford. Does it matter to us either way?
Pilchards Posted 8 December, 2009 Posted 8 December, 2009 We have them the following Saturday so I doubt it will matter. If anything, Leeds go through then there league form could slump as the manks game will be on everyones mind.
Trumush Posted 8 December, 2009 Posted 8 December, 2009 You're a week out David Still hopefully Tranmere might be knackered after their excursion to Aldershot.
jam Posted 8 December, 2009 Posted 8 December, 2009 You're a week out David Still hopefully Tranmere might be knackered after their excursion to Aldershot. Indeed. Never mess with the 'shot.

That's not that high a shot to goal ratio though, is it. Leeeds flinched tonight.
Whitey Grandad Posted 9 December, 2009 Posted 9 December, 2009 Psychologically, perhaps the seeds of self-doubt are beginning to grow in the minds of the Leeds players.
Rory Posted 9 December, 2009 Posted 9 December, 2009 Saints will be in a better state of mind psychologically having recently catapulted out of the relegation area. Leeds have the pressure of maintaining top place and a promotion push.
Andy Durman Posted 9 December, 2009 Posted 9 December, 2009 Lets face it Leeds were a class above the brave Kettering team.
Junior Mullet Posted 9 December, 2009 Posted 9 December, 2009 Saints and Leeds are two evenly matched teams. Just like Norwich and Saints are pretty evenly matched. Next Saturday at Leeds should be a very interesting game. Could go either way.
david in sweden Posted 9 December, 2009 Author Posted 9 December, 2009 That's not that high a shot to goal ratio though, is it. Leeeds flinched tonight. Not in the end of course, but Kettering fought them hard for 108 mins (1-1) but the second goal was the killer. After that it was all downhill for Leeds and Kettering lost heart. At that point it was 36 Leeds shots for 1 goal - not a good average though.
Hatch Posted 9 December, 2009 Posted 9 December, 2009 Non League Kettering sacked their assistant manager after losing away at top of League One Leeds United. Bizarre.
Whitey Grandad Posted 9 December, 2009 Posted 9 December, 2009 Non League Kettering sacked their assistant manager after losing away at top of League One Leeds United. Bizarre. The chairman didn't like the subs, apparently: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1234329/Leeds-5-Kettering-1-United-face-Manchester-United-late-non-leaguers.html
mikec Posted 9 December, 2009 Posted 9 December, 2009 Only watched it from half-time but I thought Leeds were very poor, especially after Kettering equalised. Loads of mis-hit passes and no real ideas up front. They only ran away with it once the non-leaguers tired towards the end of extra time. Having said that, I don't suppose that game can be typical of their play this season, otherwise they would not be where they are in the league. Should be a good game week Saturday.
