just for info, the additional 600 arrived today. However, 370 of these are deemed as having 'restricted views'. We have therefore asked for more tickets instead of these 370, and which would take us into the 2000+ category.

As of right now we have sold 1262 with a further 26 to sell. The additional tickets will be here tomorrow (hopefully) and then will be on sale immediately.

We will update the o/s as soon as this occurs.

Given that we have 10 days until the fixture, I would expect the final sales number to be close to, if not above, the 2000 figure

thanks

David

Got 1 ticket here

I live 5-10 miles south of Leeds on M1. If you want a pub to drive from i can do some work ...other wise its Pea**** or Dry Salters within walking distance.

I have fantastic local in Horbury..200 yards off junction 39 slip road of M1...anyone fancy it let me know.

Sorry Nick can't pm, have a minibus coming up, would be ok there?

Cheers for the update! 2000 fans would be an excellent turn out for a game so far away and so close to Christmas.

I've come to the conclusion that people will read what they want to read and ignore helpful factual information just so they can have a whinge.

Congratulations. Enjoy the game with your view of about 300 empty seats in the away end, wishing you'd not been bashing the keyboard so violently in a rage that the next batch of tickets were only "on their way".

Steve, I feel your pain.

a further 1176 tickets have been received and are now on sale. Sadly, without hotel rooms being included................

Excellent - lets sell em out and show Leeds what real support sounds like!

What do people think the reasons are that our away support has increased dramatically this year ?

There is no doubt we are taking more away than even in the premiership days when you would of thought the opposite would happen.

I remember back in the eighties going to the likes of Stoke, west brom, leicester and even many of the london clubs and we would be lucky to get a few hundred there.

Is it really just the fact that we can actually win some games or is there more to it.

You ever been to a Southampton vs Leeds match?

Even when the Leeds were 3-0 down in that game at St Marys they were the ones making all the noise.

Im really pleased Saints managed to get the full allocation! Really lookinf forward to this, biggest away ground ive been too by a long stretch (prior to this it was deepdale). 5 away games so far this season for me, im on a roll! :D

To be fair though, in general it is the away fans that make most of the noise at a lot of matches (especially when Saints are the away team!). Last time we played them at Elland Road their fans were really quiet for much of the match and we commented at how poor their support was, while it felt to us that we completely out-sang them for most of the game.

I think another part of the reason that so many are going to away matches is that a few people have tried it out on the back of our recent success, etc. and have discovered just how much of a buzz it is going to an away match. Consequently many of these have wanted more of that experience.

They were on a downward spiral then though! I'd imagine a close to sell-out, top of the table crowd will be somewhat different.

Yes, lots.

The ones I can specifically remember are:

1) League Cup semi final at Dell when they had the entire Archers

2) The Ali Dia match

3) the 3-4.

Is that a long enough history for you?

They were very, very subdued at SMS in '07

the same at their place that season when Pele totally destroyed them. On the whole though Leeds' support is pretty bloody good as we'll see later in the season

I'm more than likely to be going to this and just waiting to hear about tickets and in regards to all the tickets being taken will that be it or will we get some more?!

Also I am really looking forward to this one seeing as we are on a roll atm and this will be my 2nd time at Leeds and it will still be a laugh even if we do lose but hopefully it will be us taking the 3 points and not Leeds but we will see ;)!

Thanks!

I think it is a lot to do with you don't get a good kicking at away games any more!

Seriously though on form on the road was very poor season after season - an away win was rarer than hens teeth! We weren't very entertaining had something to do with it.

I also believe there are people who like visiting these strange places like Hartlepool - let's face it once you've done WHL or Upton Park, or got vertigo at Newcastle - it gets a bit repetitive.

I think there is a new breed of away fans - it used to be a few hardy soles looking to defend the honour of the City (if you get my drift) - but since people stopped going to SMS under the dark Lord and took up with away games, they saw that they are a much better day out.

Friendly locals to chat with before the game over a beer.

The local pubs invite you in rather than "no away fans".

The atmosphere is a bit of a party - dare I say Disco (oops I forgot the count down!)

It is strange to be amongst so many friends at away games. It's all very good humoured - even the stewards seem "nicer" although I'm not expecting an easy day at Leeds!

Long may it continue - I used to travel all over the country and people used to say "You're not a big club you never bring any fans to our place!". Not true in this League - the truth will be if we get promoted and maintain the level of support at away games.

I was thinking of going with my 7 yr old and was thinking of the bingo bus.

Has anyone taken young kids on the bus before? what was your experience.

I was thinking Nintendo, ipod and lots of scooby snacks should keep him occupied but at the back of my mind I am thinking that this is a long journey. I could drive but with just the 2 of us the bus will be less expensive and tiring - but a lot slower.

Great matches - Early seventies, can't remember which year but Leeds were top...we....weren't & we beat them at Elland Road (we always win...) 3-1. Two own goals & a Channon penalty from memory! I got sooooo p****ed :-0

Corky Morris and I travel home and away with a 9yo and 2 7yo. All I can say is thank god for DS Lite and MP3s!

I drive 40K miles a year invariably down motorways at light speed, I thought the bingo bus would be purgatory over great distances. Have to say that the journeys that I have taken have been quite relaxed. On 2 occasions on journeys over 2 hrs the tin lids have been quite happy outbound and invariably falling asleep on the way home (me almost joining them too).

Bought 2 match tickets and 2 for the Bingo Bus, we will be travelling on Bus number 6. So apologies in advance for my son asking 'Are we there yet?'.

Can't wait for this one, an easy 50 minute flight for me. Hope it's a repeat of the last time I was there back in the Championship.

What's the likelihood of us being kept in after the match?

In order to get home I need to get the 1730 from Leeds.

I can achieve this by doing my John Cleese 'fast silly walk'.

May stay over -if so, any recommendations?
