Thedelldays Posted 6 December, 2009 Share Posted 6 December, 2009 Just curious. When my iPhone deal runs out, would I be able to discontinue the contract, get an O2 sim only deal (with unlimited Internet) and get the exact same service from my iPhone? Or is there something that having a contract and paying £35 a month giving me that a sim deal won't?
Michelle Posted 7 December, 2009 Share Posted 7 December, 2009 If I recall correctly, the only thing you'll lose is Visual Voicemail - which is obviously no great loss if, like me, you don't use it!
Thedelldays Posted 7 December, 2009 Author Share Posted 7 December, 2009 Why about the 3G service. Is that a contract facility of a phone facility ?
Ponty Posted 7 December, 2009 Share Posted 7 December, 2009 Everything else, apart from Visual Voicemail, works as normal. It's what I do with a £20 simplicity SIM and the unlimited net bolt-on.
exit2 Posted 7 December, 2009 Share Posted 7 December, 2009 I have the simplicity deal from O2 - £20 a month 600 minutes, 1000 texts, unlimited internet (which is also Blackberry Data Services for me)

You don't get charged for using your own Broadband. I believe the WiFi feature mentioned there is the BT Opencloud thing that's all over London and a few other cities too. I haven't checked that out as I live in the sticks so it's pointless.
saint_stevo Posted 7 December, 2009 Share Posted 7 December, 2009 wont get charged for wifi if you are using your private network, think free wifi is referring to Openzone or Fon
