For some odd reason I follow Walsall striker Darren Byfield on twitter.

Anyway, he just posted a quite interesting assessment on Saints, especially considering they've played most of the big boys this season.

@Darren_Byfield "Classed as an own goal, but hey I aint complaining its my 100th goal so ill take it,wish we got 3 points, but they r the best side we have Played this season n I expect them 2 go up"

If a fellow professional is complimenting us off his own back after a defeat we must be good.

What's that got to do with it?

teams often big up the team they lose to (makes them sound better), just pointing out they have played, and lost to, leeds and makes his compliment better

"For some odd I reason I follow Darren Byfield" - sorry, i still can't bolden type ...

For me that reason is that he is Jamelia's other half. What other reason matters? It's reason enough. She's a babe.

Is it just me that wants to see Jamelia and Markus Liebherr sat next to each other in our directors box?

Well, I would like that, but I was hoping I could persuade her to get a season ticket next to me. That would sure put a smile on my face. If I could get Beverley Knight the other side of me ... heaven.

I had a look at Twitter once. What a massive piece of ****. Sums up quite nicely the depressing state of public discourse. What a brain dead consumptive bore-hole.

When you click on quote look at the text and put a B inside square brackets [] at the start of what you want to embolden and then put a /B inside square brackets at the end of what you want to embolden. Click the quote button on a post with emboldened text and look at it. You will see what I mean.

So if Darren Byfield expects us to be promoted, we may as well start preparing for a weekend on Blackpool beach!!!

You realise you have to make that request?

That's great news, I can't remember this happening since Chris Iwelumo. Get Mr Byfield on the O/S.

LOL!! I knew this thread reminded me of something. Shame there won't be a shareholders meeting this year.

Yes. Thinking about it, I reckon I added him when I'd had a bevvy or two and thought it could be an interesting insight into a mediocre footballer's mind. He joins the likes of Daniel Gabiddon, James Collins and Jozy Altidore on that list.

For the uninformed, wtf are Jamelia and Beverly Knight. ?

Britain's finest soul singers of the female gender, m'lud. I submit these as Exhibit A and Exhibit B.

(Although Jamelia page suggests she has split from the Byfield. Just come to SMS anyway, sweetpea. :-) )

if you go to user cp and then to edit options you will find...

Message Editor Interface When posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type.

It was the PLC Annual Report in the Chairman's Message section. Haha, what a complete pillock.

It's certainly not a patch on The Duke of Argyle's post-hunt conversationalist evenings.

One of their blogsites was also raving about us:

To bloody the nose of an opponent more mighty than yourself you’re occasionally going to have to get inside his guard. Apart from a promising first fifteen minutes or so, when we had a real go at Saints and had our only real, sustained spell of possession and pressure we failed to land a telling blow of any note until the game was already lost. Southampton held us at arm’s length comfortably and might have taken the lead earlier than they did when Smith somehow got away with a challenge on Connolly that would have earned a free-kick had it been made outside the area. From my seat in the lower tier of the home end it looked as obvious a penalty as you’re likely to see, Connolly had wriggled clear of Smith, who shoved him to the ground. Nothing subtle, nothing sly, just a shove in the back. Maybe it would be our day after all.......

It wasn’t to be. We were repeatedly carved open down our left with young Netan looking completely out of his depth against an opponent who knew exactly when to go past him and when to play someone else in. Richards was left exposed time and again when the young left-back failed to hold his position and the only real positive we can take from the game is that we weren’t beaten far more heavily by a side packed with Premier League experience – Murty, Perry,, Jaidi, Connolly – and who turned out to be the best team to visit us so far this season, and the best since Leicester arrived in town last season. Southampton had quality in every position, were far better than us on the day and fully deserved what was a pretty easy win. Teams of their quality aren’t the norm in this division so we shouldn’t be too alarmed. This isn’t a disastrous result, it’s a reality check. It’s what we all thought would happen

It is really insightful. Sort of.

Haha, I like how most of his 'tweets' are about Xfactor, and then he wrote "Xfactor is sh*t".

Oh, and thankyou Saintsweb for following me on twitter as well.
