Thedelldays Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 who wants to swap top 6 for the JPT now..?
Matthew Le God Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 For the 1st time this season if the 10 points added back we'd be in the top 6. 9 points from the playoffs and 26 games left. Very possible now. Wasn't it you Arizona that said you'd be happy with 5th bottom? Surely we should all be unhappy if we don't make the play offs now?
gjphilsaint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 this time last week we were in the bottom 4!!
Saint Without a Halo Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Keep it up lads just 15th place and just 9 points off the play off! looking good now!
Leslie Charteris Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Damn! That's four points dropped on the Prediction League. Are we 15th?
CWD Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 What is the record for most 3-1 wins in a league season I wonder? COYR great show again, we're going up!
Brussels Saint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Brilliant! 9 points of 6th, still over half a season to go, thats the important stat.
Toadhall Saint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Very very pleased with that. Could have had a hat full! On the march? You bet.......
St Landrew Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Brighton have done us a nice favour too. We appear to have climbed all the way upto 15th. Just love that. Hope the other games keep us that way.
niceandfriendly Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Simply fantastic. Don't you just love being a Saints fan right now? PS. Connolly, Hammond, Lambert
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Up to 18th on the Skysports live table. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/default.stm HTH
St Will Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Up to 18th on the Skysports live table. ?? 15th....
gjphilsaint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 orient score in stoppage 2-3 ...but still 15th....
Toadhall Saint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 And Lloyd James sounded like MOM to me.
VectisSaint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Up to 18th on the Skysports live table. The Sky not live table - we're 15th
ericofarabia Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 As somebody said with brighton winning we are only 2 points aswy from the relegation spots. I was going to say we should be looking upwards but with Brighton behind us maybe an occassional glance behind would be a good idea
brightspark Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Very nice victory... although just as we should have been expecting. Now for what should be a straight forward victory against Tranmere, and we could go to Leeds with a realistic chance of getting into the top half!!! How quickly the league table can change...
Legod Third Coming Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 I don't do the prediction league but anyone who does and didn't select 1-3 is a berk
Arizona Posted 5 December, 2009 Author Posted 5 December, 2009 For the 1st time this season if the 10 points added back we'd be in the top 6. 9 points from the playoffs and 26 games left. Very possible now. Wasn't it you Arizona that said you'd be happy with 5th bottom? Surely we should all be unhappy if we don't make the play offs now? Probably, although that was at the start of the season when we didn't have Lambert, Connolly, Hammond, Waigo, Antonio, Jaidi or Trottman, Jaidi couldn't hit a barn door and we were 10 points adrift at the bottom. If you want we can dig out the "we will walk this league" threads from 05/06, 06/07, 07/08 and 08/09.
Saint_clark Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 I don't do the prediction league but anyone who does and didn't select 1-3 is a berk I'm predicting 3-1 in all league games and 3-2 in all cup games from now on.
St Landrew Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Up to 18th on the Skysports live table. SKY Sports LIVE table appears to be dead then.
samski saint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/default.stm HTH Didn't refresh on mine.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 who wants to swap top 6 for the JPT now..? Can you show me a single person who at any time DID say they would swap finishing top 6 for winning the JPT? Anyway, EIEIEIO up the league one table we go. over the moon.
martyg1950 Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 I'm predicting 3-1 in all league games and 3-2 in all cup games from now on. Have the bookies not wised up yet :-)
Jimmy_D Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 WOOT! not even the Pompey win can dampen this day ^^ Almost every other result has gone our way as well... Can we win three more games than the teams above us over the course of the rest of the season? Very tempted to say we can now...
Under Weststand Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Superb was worried about today but once again they have come through another tough test. Great win could have been by a lot more Great to be up around the mid table now & only 9-points off the play off places. Keep it going Saints. New I should have gone 3-1 on the prediction league went for 2-1 so have to settle for 6 points again Oh well.
Red Alert Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Happy days. I really think we could beat anyone in this league and see no reason why we shouldn't be looking towards the playoffs. Keep this up over the next 4 weeks and we will be right up in the mix.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 As somebody said with brighton winning we are only 2 points aswy from the relegation spots. I was going to say we should be looking upwards but with Brighton behind us maybe an occassional glance behind would be a good idea 3 points actually. Goal difference
gjphilsaint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 league one we are comin to get youuuuuuuuuuuuu
Saint Without a Halo Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 As somebody said with brighton winning we are only 2 points aswy from the relegation spots. I was going to say we should be looking upwards but with Brighton behind us maybe an occassional glance behind would be a good idea No need to look behind now upwards and onwards there are enough Sh*t sides in this division to make sure whatever happens now we are out of the bottom 4 we will not be back!
Asaint4ever Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 4 wins on the bounce now. 10 unbeaten on the road. 1 defeat in 14 NOT bad ah!
Legod Third Coming Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Some of you are very unambitious. We made up two points on Leeds today.
martyg1950 Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Hopefully this will also put the clubs we are soon to play into a slightly more nervous state of mind :-)
VectisSaint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 As somebody said with brighton winning we are only 2 points aswy from the relegation spots. I was going to say we should be looking upwards but with Brighton behind us maybe an occassional glance behind would be a good idea OK, if you ignore Gillingham, Exeter, Brentford, Orient and Oldham. Relegation is not an issue, just remember we have scored 10 points more in 20 games than the teams on same number of points as us. If that form is carried on, we will be 10-20 poinys clear of them at the end of the season, and that takes into account our crappy start to the season. Our only view now should be upwards, and I don't care that swindon won today, being 15th already is such a huge boost to our confidence, and Swindon will fade away as they always do. 9 points off the play-offs, with 26 games to go, it is becoming a perfectly realistic target now.
St Landrew Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Confirmed 15th now. Only Yeovil stopped us from being 14th. Really gutted.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Keep on playing like this, and I can't see why we can't be in the top 3 come May...
aintforever Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Only 9 off the play-offs now - **** me this is easy.
ericofarabia Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 No need to look behind now upwards and onwards there are enough Sh*t sides in this division to make sure whatever happens now we are out of the bottom 4 we will not be back! Whooossshhhh
Fan The Flames Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 Favourite scoreline back and favourite scorers just the wrong order. Brilliant we will be up to 12th next game.
Thedelldays Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 right, we now have to beat tranmere...could be top half by end of next week
beatlesaint Posted 5 December, 2009 Posted 5 December, 2009 4 wins on the bounce now. 10 unbeaten on the road. 1 defeat in 14 NOT bad ah! Has any team in England got a better record than that ?
