Why do some people want teams who we will be batlling with for promotion to win today so that we can be 18th rather than 19th, for example?

Utterly demented and short sighted.

Swindon get in!

Why are you getting so excited about this? Swindon are one of the play-off teams we are chasing. Big deal if we are 16th or 17th at the end of today. Bigger picture anyone?

I know, I was saying as much on the prematch thread. We need teams like Norwich, Bristol, MK Don's etc to be losing. I'd rather be stuck in the bottom half until March, then go flying up into 5th place in the last few weeks.

I think this commentator's playing some kind of buzzword bingo.

He bet someone that he could slot words like "ubiquitous", "genuflected" and "inclement" into a footy commentary.

I'd prefer "all over the place", "thought about it" and "p*ssing down".

Don't underestimate the effect on the team with a big month on the way to be further and further away from that drop zone monkey that was on oput=r backs for so long

psychologically every saints win is pushing the team further and further... it is not just about 3 points but about momentum and confidence... if the players get off the pitch tonight and find out they have shot up the table... tell me that isnt going to have a VERY positive effect on the team?
