warsash saint Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 Just bought a Ipod classic 160gb but like many others it seems, have found the volume levels to low:mad: Is there a hack out there that will remove the damn EU limiter ? Thanks
sotonjoe Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 I can't believe it's too quiet for you to be honest. Without sounding like an old git, you'll damage your ears if you turn it up any more. Maybe you just need a decent set of headphones or earphones? A google search will get you a way of getting rid of the limiter though.

Stanley Saint Posted 5 December, 2009 Share Posted 5 December, 2009 The other way is to highlight all your songs in itunes and bump up the volume slider (it's on one of the tabs in the 'getinfo' menu). I've done this and it works fine, but you have to remember to do it with each new cd you import etc.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 6 December, 2009 Share Posted 6 December, 2009 The other way is to highlight all your songs in itunes and bump up the volume slider (it's on one of the tabs in the 'getinfo' menu). I've done this and it works fine, but you have to remember to do it with each new cd you import etc. I've found the above makes a little bit of differance, as does using better head phones rather than the ones provided. You can also change the equalizer preset to acoustic, which seems to make it a touch louder. There are programmes that claim to remove the volume limit, but they will invalidate your warrenty. I didn't think it was worth the risk.
