Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Do you reckon his old guard of PR people still post on here?
SaintDonkey Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Mods - isn't mentioning he-who-shall-not-be-named cause for an instant infraction?
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 3 December, 2009 Author Posted 3 December, 2009 Mods - isn't mentioning he-who-shall-not-be-named cause for an instant infraction? Oh bugger, forgot about that little rule. Erm, I was talking about Joachim Loew. Phew, that was close.
Master Bates Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Do you reckon his old guard of PR people still post on here? Guess we'll find out if this thread continues.
benjii Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Do you reckon his old guard of PR people still post on here? Can he still afford to pay them?
The Majestic Channon Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Remind me what happened exactly , didn't he pay some P.R. firm to post on here only to be rumbled? I can't see why he would be doing that again now.
Marsdinho Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 I miss Scooby. Shame he didnt stick around to wipe the egg of his face....
Arizona Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Pretty sure Scooby was a PR plant AGAINST Lowe if I'm honnest. If he was hired by Lowe, it must have been "Total PR".
View From The Top Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Scooby was a "performance" artist and we were his audience. When rumbled and outed via his flicker page he never posted again.
Pancake Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Scooby was a "performance" artist and we were his audience. When rumbled and outed via his flicker page he never posted again. Come again?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 I heard that Lowe posts here himself - uses the username ST Will. Not sure if its true?
JackFrost Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Scooby was a "performance" artist and we were his audience. When rumbled and outed via his flicker page he never posted again. Who was he?

Hatch Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 I think it's about time people let go of the past and start to think of all the good things Rupert did.

COMEONYOUREDS Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Who was he? wasn't he chairman of the USA east coast pompey supporters federation or something?
View From The Top Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Who was he? Can't remember his whole name but he was an Andrew and came from Salisbury.
Whitey Grandad Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 I think it's about time people let go of the past and start to think of all the good things Rupert did. Let me see.... ok, done that, now what?
once_bitterne Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Anyone who didn't think Lowe was the anti-Christ was labelled a PR plant by some on here. Personally I am happy to have a rich owner to subsidise the club to run at a loss rather than having a club that had to balance the books. It puts us on a level playing field with the likes of Wigan, Reading, Fulham, etc. However, I am also grateful to Lowe for what he achieved here into dragging a club that modern day football was passing by, into the 21st century. Personally I think if things had carried on the way they were in the 90s before Lowe (ie. year after year of relegation battles even with one of the greatest players in the land in the team) then we would have got relegated far sooner than we did. We certainly would of have a far worse chance of finding a buyer if we were still at the Dell.
View From The Top Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Come again? A few people did some digging using some tipbits he gave away and we found out his real name via a review he'd done on Amazon which led on to his flickr page. It turn out he view "us" and Scooby as a form of improvised theatre. Once unmasked he never posted again.

Victor Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 I think it's about time people let go of the past and start to think of all the good things Rupert did. But, fortunately, what Rupert did WAS in the past so we don't need to waste time thinking about them. Do I also have to let go of the FA cup win, Alan Ball, the fantastic '80s 124 years of history - most of it something to be proud of - Ted Bates etc.? I guess you just mean the sh!t bits (i.e. the Lowe years).
Whitey Grandad Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Was this all posted on here? ive searched the archives but nothing has come up. Yep, it was all quite exciting at the time. :---)
Verbal Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Was this all posted on here? ive searched the archives but nothing has come up. He was outed by Roman.

Certainly MAY have got relegated sooner, can't argue with any of the rest of it, there weren't many dissenters in 2003... aaaaargh, I'm getting sucked in...

I'll out one. Corky Morris. Even then he remonstrated about Lowe, his business practices and share buybacks etc.
Pancake Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 In its former guise, yes. Just read Romans post history. Seems the only thing that was outed was a review of Scooby Doo DVD by someone from Washington DC called Andrew; and then suddenly Roman is talking about art installations and video projects. Seems a tad fishy to me.
Fan The Flames Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Average top flight finish before Lowe 12th after 13th. Lowes good points, stadium with a big dollop of external help and finding a buying by making us go bust, nice one Lowey.

Draw what conclusions you like from that.
Pancake Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 So you don't remember but are now telling me what we knew and had in our PM boxes? Eh? Im sorry, but that makes no sense.
Master Bates Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Was this all posted on here? ive searched the archives but nothing has come up. He posted on BBC 606 and believe someone on there found out who he was, I remember seeing a pic of what he looked like anyways, whether it was on here or 606.

OldNick Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 is this a 5 minute argument or the full hour?
Verbal Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Yeah, I remember him well from 606 MB, that was well before TSF or SWF though. But he only stopped posting after Roman told all. Fishier still.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 3 December, 2009 Author Posted 3 December, 2009 Yeah, I remember him well from 606 MB, that was well before TSF or SWF though. He used to post on Saints Forever back in the day (2004 time).
Pancake Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 He used to post on Saints Forever back in the day (2004 time). He was also on 606 back in 2003, along with GM, Frank, SNSUN, myself and a host of others on here. Im pretty sure Scooby posted on UI too. Pretty 'hardcore' behaviour for someone who was on a wind up, donchathink?

Joey-deacons-left-nut Posted 3 December, 2009 Posted 3 December, 2009 Can someone not create a script so that whenever anyone type sin lowe or rupert it displays something else??
