26 and still not on the European tour, don't worry about it you'll soon be old enough to take up bowls, assuming you still like your outdoor sports fully trousered.

 

Will are you based at Basingtoke Colf Club, The Peter Alliss designed Dummer or Test Valley club that Jody Scheckter could put to better use as buffalo grazing? Afterall it's just another fat bunch of males hacking at the grass pretending to be sporty - unlike the buffalos.

how anyone can argue that golf is more demanding than football is baffling. I am increasingly of the opinion that St Will is a golfer in his own mind and on xbox live.

 

At what point did I say golf is more demanding than football? I was giving my reasons for golfers needing to be fit. I compared it to football to explain that just because golfers don't run around the course, doesn't mean there aren't other reasons why we need to be fit.

Pro V1x all the way

 

Pro V1 and Pro V1X have never been good since the original one. In comparison to the other new balls on the market anyway. Since the designer when to TaylorMade, it's never been as good. I've done a lot of testing with golf balls, and my Callaway goes 20 yards further than the Pro V1X....

The original comparison was: "George Best could go and play golf drunk, while I pro golfer couldn't play professional football." Which is ridiculous. You can't compare a pro footballer playing "any standard of golf" with a pro golfer playing professional football.

Sorry, I didnt know you was on good terms with Best & knew his golfing abilities.

Professional sportsman tend to have a wider range in sporting abilities in these days.

And neither do you know his golfing capabilities, or any golfer's football capabilities.

Well I know Victor Mosses, Jordon Mutch and Adz(Lallana) golfing abilities adn they are all footballers.

 

So can I just point out, your actually agreeing with me, its a pointless comparision and the post before this, was technically right?????

Oh I know two chaps who's up and comming in world golf.

 

One lad I've played against and one lad I played with for 2 years ( in which way you see fit, I knew he'd become famous)

Golf is a terrible pastime. The only sports I count are the ones where you are tired after doing them. Therefore IMO golf isn't a sport. How does it feel wasting your life on a pastime Will?

Yeah terrible wasting my life doing something people do for fun for a living, I feel terrible travelling the world, I feel terrible not having to sit in an office all my life, I feel terrible that if and when I get on the main tour I'll be playing for millions every year.

Only the elite golfers are on tour at 25/26 years of age or younger. Most golfers don't reach or cement their position on the main tour until they're around 30.

 

Me being working class is not something I'm using as an excuse. I was making the point that golf is not a middle class only game. Only in your over opinionated, bizarre, out-of-date mind.

 

Any sport where you reach your peak over 30 is not a sport.

Crazy golf is harder than standard golf IMO.

 

That's something I do agree with. Putting is the best part of my game, yet I'm terrible at crazy golf. Go figure.

People who dont like golf, ususally dont understand it, or played once and was crap.....

 

The fact is, you could be 200th in the world and still be a millionaire, i'd take a bit of that i think

And there lies the answer. This is an internet for for **** sake. Why take everything so seriously? So people don't like golf, big deal. The more you kick up a fuss of people taking the **** out of you, the more it's going to happen.
