Master Bates Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 Especially when trolling for bites. That brought a smile to my face
St Will Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 And on that brilliant note, its goodnight from me and hopefully it's goodnight from St Will who is trying to work out how to insert practice days in 6 days of practice day and tournaments - good luck with that. 26 and still not on the European tour, don't worry about it you'll soon be old enough to take up bowls, assuming you still like your outdoor sports fully trousered. Will are you based at Basingtoke Colf Club, The Peter Alliss designed Dummer or Test Valley club that Jody Scheckter could put to better use as buffalo grazing? Afterall it's just another fat bunch of males hacking at the grass pretending to be sporty - unlike the buffalos. You really are a fruit loop aren't you.
St Will Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 how anyone can argue that golf is more demanding than football is baffling. I am increasingly of the opinion that St Will is a golfer in his own mind and on xbox live. At what point did I say golf is more demanding than football? I was giving my reasons for golfers needing to be fit. I compared it to football to explain that just because golfers don't run around the course, doesn't mean there aren't other reasons why we need to be fit. Thick ****.
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 Tiger spends up to EIGHT HOURS A DAY in the gym when he's not at a tournament. Wasn't that simply the defence used when questioned by his wife ? makes you wonder how he found the time for extramarital affair(s)
Tac-tics Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 St.Will, RedandWhite91 made you look like a right arse. He answered the question at hand with his logic as to how he came to this answer. And no good calling him a kid at 18, just to comfort the fact your getting older.
Tac-tics Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 I'm not saying he does, but he could manage to play 90 minutes in a sunday league game, which is about as high a standard as a pro footballer could compete in comparison to a Lee Westwood What the hell is the point in this comparision? John Westwood could stretch to 90 minutes in a Sunday league game. Most utterly pointless comparison ever. I'll give you one, I bet a badger couldnt spend a lifetime in the sea, yet a seal can spend a lifetime on both....:s
St Will Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 Pro V1x all the way Pro V1 and Pro V1X have never been good since the original one. In comparison to the other new balls on the market anyway. Since the designer when to TaylorMade, it's never been as good. I've done a lot of testing with golf balls, and my Callaway goes 20 yards further than the Pro V1X....

The original comparison was: "George Best could go and play golf drunk, while I pro golfer couldn't play professional football." Which is ridiculous. You can't compare a pro footballer playing "any standard of golf" with a pro golfer playing professional football. Think about it. If George Best played golf, he would be "sunday league" standard at best. He couldn't play professional standard golf, just as a pro golfer couldn't play professional standard football. The original comparison wasn't a fair comparison at all. I don't know how many times I have to explain that to you bunch of thick ****s.

Sorry, I didnt know you was on good terms with Best & knew his golfing abilities. Professional sportsman tend to have a wider range in sporting abilities in these days. Oh and Im not thick and I'm not a ****, Im just better than you
St Will Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 Sorry, I didnt know you was on good terms with Best & knew his golfing abilities. Professional sportsman tend to have a wider range in sporting abilities in these days. Oh and Im not thick and I'm not a ****, Im just better than you And neither do you know his golfing capabilities, or any golfer's football capabilities. Which is why it was a completely **** comparison, and completely irrelevant to the discussion of "golfers don't need to be fit".

Which is why it was a completely **** comparison, and completely irrelevant to the discussion of "golfers don't need to be fit". Well I know Victor Mosses, Jordon Mutch and Adz(Lallana) golfing abilities adn they are all footballers. So can I just point out, your actually agreeing with me, its a pointless comparision and the post before this, was technically right????? I love being a kid and so sharp
Tac-tics Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 Oh I know two chaps who's up and comming in world golf. One lad I've played against and one lad I played with for 2 years ( in which way you see fit, I knew he'd become famous) So St.Will, yes, yes I do.
hypochondriac Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 Golf is a terrible pastime. The only sports I count are the ones where you are tired after doing them. Therefore IMO golf isn't a sport. How does it feel wasting your life on a pastime Will?

How does it feel wasting your life on a pastime Will? It's just the same as darts, for a better standard of people. But christ what a utter waste of time.
St Will Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 Golf is a terrible pastime. The only sports I count are the ones where you are tired after doing them. Therefore IMO golf isn't a sport. How does it feel wasting your life on a pastime Will? Yeah terrible wasting my life doing something people do for fun for a living, I feel terrible travelling the world, I feel terrible not having to sit in an office all my life, I feel terrible that if and when I get on the main tour I'll be playing for millions every year. Yeah, I'm wasting my life away. Idiot.
hypochondriac Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 Only the elite golfers are on tour at 25/26 years of age or younger. Most golfers don't reach or cement their position on the main tour until they're around 30. Me being working class is not something I'm using as an excuse. I was making the point that golf is not a middle class only game. Only in your over opinionated, bizarre, out-of-date mind. Any sport where you reach your peak over 30 is not a sport.
St Will Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 It's just the same as darts, for a better standard of people. But christ what a utter waste of time. You're not a thick ****? I beg to differ.
Tac-tics Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 You're not a thick ****? I beg to differ. You can beg all you like. Not sure if you're aware that sometimes, people can make mis-types??? You bloody PGA types.
hypochondriac Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 Prove it then Will. Give us your full name so we can look you up. I might go down the bookies and place my life savings on you as the Open champion 2029. I assume that's when you turn 30?
Tac-tics Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 You're not a thick ****? I beg to differ. PIED (thats a new 'hip, cool, funky' saying, mirrors the word.....owned) Roll neck, click the fingers and brief exit...Goodbye for now

I might go down the bookies and place my life savings on you as the Open champion 2029. I assume that's when you turn 30? I'd give anyone my website address if I knew they wouldn't spread it around, however I know you ****s would just spread it around on here and within 5 minutes everyone would know my name, when and where I'm playing tournaments, where my home club is, everything. Which is why I won't!
Dog Posted 4 December, 2009 Author Posted 4 December, 2009 Crazy golf is harder than standard golf IMO.
St Will Posted 4 December, 2009 Posted 4 December, 2009 Crazy golf is harder than standard golf IMO. That's something I do agree with. Putting is the best part of my game, yet I'm terrible at crazy golf. Go figure.
