Nineteen Canteen Posted 3 December, 2009 Share Posted 3 December, 2009 Kadeem isn't a professional golfer, he's a wind up merchant, you gullable head banger. How do we know you are? 26 and not on the European tour? Are you a late developer. Working class background didn't hold Tiger back even though he was robbed of his childhood by a Dad hell bent on living his dream and financial security through his son, allegedly. For someone so working class Will you have a strange view on this country's benefit system even as screwed up as it is.
Smirking_Saint Posted 3 December, 2009 Share Posted 3 December, 2009 No, Apline is a ****. He constantly complains, turns suicidal if we don't win, and then has a go at anyone who says he's being ridiculous. He has an opinion...... you don't agree, we get it. For someone so working class Will you have a strange view on this country's benefit system even as screwed up as it is. Only the elite golfers are on tour at 25/26 years of age or younger. Most golfers don't reach or cement their position on the main tour until they're around 30. Me being working class is not something I'm using as an excuse. I was making the point that golf is not a middle class only game. Only in your over opinionated, bizarre, out-of-date mind.

Edit: and all those fat bastard Olympians who throw the discus, oh and the sumo wrestlers.....all the stereotypical athletes who perform in the Olympics I would imagine that even in his final years and p*ssed, George could still play a round a golf. You can't compare a pro footballer playing **** level golf with a pro golfer playing pro football. A pro golfer could play drunk at the same level of football as a drunk footballer could play golf. Both ****. a drunk golfer could show up and play sunday league football. George Best showing up drunk would only be able to play 'sunday league golf'. Smirking_Saint Posted 3 December, 2009 Share Posted 3 December, 2009 No.......he said not in terms of competing, a footballer could turn up and play golf, but the state most golfers are in could not handle 90 mins on the football pitch, PHYSICALLY WILLY PHYSICALLY. Edit: and all those fat bastard Olympians who throw the discus, oh and the sumo wrestlers.....all the stereotypical athletes who perform in the Olympics All of whom break sweat to help them develop the attributes required for their particular sport. Golf is just outdoor snooker. The day we watch Usain Bolt win a 100m in some garish trousers or covered head to toe in gortex to protect him from the inclement weather conditions then you may have a point. The IOC made a huge error of judgement by allowing golf into the Olympics and IMO someone like Tiger Woods one if not the world's richest 'sportsmen' winning a gold medal will demean the honour for those who have been through the pain barrier countless times and for a mere pittance simply for the glory of their achievement. I don't dislike golf as a pastime but I despise it's new status in the Olympics as like a few other 'sports' it is not in the true spirit of the games. RedAndWhite91 Posted 3 December, 2009 Share Posted 3 December, 2009 A professional golfer could compete physically at the same level of football as a footballer could compete at golf. And if you want to be GOOD, you do have to be an athlete at golf these days. So, you're saying John Daly could pitch up and play 90 minutes for Saints against Walsall on Saturday? I'm sure there's a couple of Saints players (certainly past players) who are into their golf and could easily walk around a field all day and hit a ball into a hole. Totally different Will. Another out dated, inaccurate, self opinionated load of codswallop. Every top golfer is an athlete. You have to be. You don't play golf, so you don't understand. You have your petty views, and they are WRONG. Tiger spends up to EIGHT HOURS A DAY in the gym when he's not at a tournament. He trains and practices as hard as an Olympic athlete. Just because he plays golf, doesn't mean he doesn't. Because I know for a fact he does. Every other golfer has to try and bridge the gap to him, so they all work hard at their fitness too, because that is one of the main things he has over everyone else. Golf is nothing like snooker. The golf swing is a very athletic, body taxing movement. That is why golfers sustain all sorts of injuries....it's a fast movement, it's an unnatural movement, and you have to be very strong and flexible to be able to hit the ball far enough to be able to compete, and also prevent getting injured. I'm sure there's a couple of Saints players (certainly past players) who are into their golf and could easily walk around a field all day and hit a ball into a hole. Totally different Will. John Daly is the exception to the rule. I'm not saying that. You're saying a golfer couldn't play against Millwall.....well could a Saints player play against Lee Westwood? No. The footballer would chop the ball around and be nowhere close to competing with the pro golfer, just as the golfer would jog around and not be able to compete with the football team. God some of you are so ****ing THICK!
