hutch Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 OK, we've tried the clean sheet approach. Can we go back to 3-1 or 3-2 now please?
EBS1980 Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 A Win, A Clean Sheet and out the drop zone. Job Done!
Plumstead_Saint Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Yay 3 wins on the trot, out of the relegation zone and first clean sheet in 15 games. Does it get any better than this?
Psycrow Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Great stuff. Onward and upward... Waiting to see if anyone complains that we didn't score enough goals as seen as we kept a clean sheet.
Charlie2008 Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Out of the bottom 4. The only way is up, baby! (except for down and that aint gonna happen). Good tactically, well done Pards et al.
London Saint Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 that is a real monkey off our backs...hopefully the start of great things for Saints! We're gonna do a Leeds next season and cream this league!
CB Saint Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Only 4 points off 11th place - reckon we might make some progress now
ART Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 I am delighted to see we are finally out of the bottom four. Been a long time coming but what a sheer delight it is. If the likes of Sunderland, Crystal Palace can go in December from bottom to top at the end of the season, then who's to say Saints can't do it. Onwards and upwards Pardieu.
Matty's Caddy Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Yay 3 wins on the trot, out of the relegation zone and first clean sheet in 15 games. Does it get any better than this? yeah, poopey lost!!!
lamanga Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Merrington nearly won a new appreciation record there from me, "¡¡callate la puta boca tio!!"
captainchris Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 OK, we've tried the clean sheet approach. Can we go back to 3-1 or 3-2 now please? Funniest quote of the night !!!!
hutch Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 ... and 1 point closer to the play-offs. Only 12 now.
saint-luco Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 well done saints, so you didnt score more than 1, so papa was offside most of the game, so it was'nt a great performance, it was a clean sheet and i believe you can beat any team in this division, very soon the doom mongers will be on here giving it , we cant score, cant defend , so & so is a liability, we'll never make the playoffs, well i believe and i have faith just set em up and keep the points flowing, cant wait till saturday. excellent win today, am enjoying the journey
saint1977 Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Great to be out of the bottom 4 at last and a win is a win. Sounds like we played well either side of half-time and should have scored a hatful but pretty poor after that. When Connolly is injured it does take a lot away from the side and we need to be a lot, lot more clinical - signing Lee Barnard from Southend would help with that and give Lambert some competition. We still need a commanding centre-half that leads as well. This is a side that is decent for L1 and would be halfway up the CCC as well so things will continue to improve but we really have to kill teams off faster. Saturday was an example - we should have scored another 3 or 4 after Hammond scored as Northampton deflated but we just stopped working and got the cigars out.
View From The Top Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 My six Walsall tickets came today so hopefully will continue the good run but it's going to be tough.
S41NTS Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 How long has it been since we were last outside a relegation zone?
Secret Site Agent Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Does it get any better than this???????? My two Pompey boys are going to be sick as parrots and sacked by breakfast time, or will have to buy me a belly buster roll. There will be some dancing tonight. out of the relegation zone Kept a clean sheet it looks like they tried to bully us off the pitch. And we should change Papa's na,me to Papa Offside N'dye
hutch Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 I do like Lloyd James, but I felt a lot more relaxed the way the game went after Wotton came on.
South Londoner Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 I shall be wearing my Saints cuff links into work tomorrow for the first time in about 5 years !
hutch Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 How long has it been since we were last outside a relegation zone? I don't know. I'm only 53!
Belgiansaint Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 clean sheet and officially in the safety zone. waow!
Johnny Shearer Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Great stuff. Onward and upward... Waiting to see if anyone complains that we didn't score enough goals as seen as we kept a clean sheet. Seriously though I think its a serious problem. No that we've got a clean sheat I don't think we score enough..................
Fan The Flames Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Not as much fun as the 3-1 3-2's but it will do, clean sheet and all that.
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Oh yes, 3 pts, dominated the game, clean sheet, out of relegation zone !!!!!!! Nice
hutch Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 When we win on Saturday, if Yeovil, Exeter, Brentford, Orient, Gillingham & Oldham all lose, we could be up to 14th. And before you ask, I didn't check if any of them were playing each other.
qwertySFC Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Disapointed really .. I mean a boring 1-0 win , COYR

RedWillie Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Not pretty, but hey, sometimes we get games like this. A win's a win and a clean sheet.
amsterdam Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 All good - shame I've given up smoking the good stuff. Waiting for the reports from those who went - nice to grind out a result? Or did we win easily?
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Think about the lift this has given us as fans, just to see the team outside of the relegation zone. Hopefully the players will be feeling this and hopefully play with even more enthusiasm. It could be a real start to our year now. I am still hopeful, we can make the playoffs.
