I am delighted to see we are finally out of the bottom four. Been a long time coming but what a sheer delight it is. If the likes of Sunderland, Crystal Palace can go in December from bottom to top at the end of the season, then who's to say Saints can't do it. Onwards and upwards Pardieu.

well done saints, so you didnt score more than 1, so papa was offside most of the game, so it was'nt a great performance, it was a clean sheet and i believe you can beat any team in this division, very soon the doom mongers will be on here giving it , we cant score, cant defend , so & so is a liability, we'll never make the playoffs, well i believe and i have faith just set em up and keep the points flowing, cant wait till saturday.

excellent win today, am enjoying the journey

Great to be out of the bottom 4 at last and a win is a win. Sounds like we played well either side of half-time and should have scored a hatful but pretty poor after that. When Connolly is injured it does take a lot away from the side and we need to be a lot, lot more clinical - signing Lee Barnard from Southend would help with that and give Lambert some competition. We still need a commanding centre-half that leads as well.

This is a side that is decent for L1 and would be halfway up the CCC as well so things will continue to improve but we really have to kill teams off faster. Saturday was an example - we should have scored another 3 or 4 after Hammond scored as Northampton deflated but we just stopped working and got the cigars out.

Does it get any better than this????????

My two Pompey boys are going to be sick as parrots and sacked by breakfast time, or will have to buy me a belly buster roll.

There will be some dancing tonight.

out of the relegation zone

Kept a clean sheet

it looks like they tried to bully us off the pitch.

And we should change Papa's na,me to Papa Offside N'dye

Great stuff. Onward and upward...

Waiting to see if anyone complains that we didn't score enough goals as seen as we kept a clean sheet.

Seriously though I think its a serious problem. No that we've got a clean sheat I don't think we score enough..................

When we win on Saturday, if Yeovil, Exeter, Brentford, Orient, Gillingham & Oldham all lose, we could be up to 14th. And before you ask, I didn't check if any of them were playing each other.

Think about the lift this has given us as fans, just to see the team outside of the relegation zone.

Hopefully the players will be feeling this and hopefully play with even more enthusiasm. It could be a real start to our year now.

I am still hopeful, we can make the playoffs.
