RonManager Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Evening match then, he said, stating the blindingly obvious.
oldsarum Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Evening match then, he said, stating the blindingly obvious. A fellow London Saint said he'd heard all league games for Jan 2nd that needed to be rearranged were due to be played the following midweek as any cup replays are due to be played the week after.
Michelle Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Indeedly. No excuse not to do the four corners pub crawl though.
Marky-G Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 disappointed not on a saturday, will now have to get an afternoon off work, but still well up for this one
This Charming Man Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 One of the easiest games of the season to get too, so glad this is being re-arranged, rather than Tranmere.
Dan Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 One of the easiest games of the season to get too, so glad this is being re-arranged, rather than Tranmere. Tranmere is the 6th round, dont speak to soon.
alehouseboys Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Our new 'local' derby! Nearest ground to Southampton this year I believe.
Michelle Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Tranmere is the 6th round, dont speak to soon. And I'm in Manchester for a gig the night before that game... I just hope that if we do get to the 6th round, we get a northern team away!!
Arizona Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Brilliant. I'm working on the FA Cup weekend, but I'll be off for a midweek game. Another new ground to tick off.
La BoIS Saint Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Best pub in Brentford the Magpie and Crown has closed. Will have to think of somewhere else to go.
La BoIS Saint Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Actually just checked beer in the evening and it's open again
RedAndWhite91 Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Great, this means I can drink a lot and not worry about the next day, which is the case with Saturday games as I have work 7am Sunday morning. Result.
Lets B Avenue Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Our new 'local' derby! Nearest ground to Southampton this year I believe. Surely Brighton is closer?
RonManager Posted 30 November, 2009 Author Posted 30 November, 2009 Surely Brighton is closer? Or Yeovil?
Michelle Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Brighton - 63.5 miles Brentford - 70.3 miles Yeovil - 75.8 miles And yes, I have just been sad enough to look that up on AA Route Planner. (All distances from SMS.)

Sour Mash Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Reading next year Think it'll be Bournemouth next year I'm afraid!
Andy_Porter Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Anyone know what day this will be played on now? Will have to book an afternoon off work.
hamster Posted 30 November, 2009 Posted 30 November, 2009 Think it'll be Bournemouth next year I'm afraid! Or Aldershot if we're not careful ;-)
Chez Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 the question once again for me is will it be reachable leaving at 5.30 from Soton?
bungle Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 the question once again for me is will it be reachable leaving at 5.30 from Soton? I would have thought so. 1 hour 15 on train to Waterloo, and then about 20 minutes back out, or you can change at Clapham Junction if you get a train from Soton that stops there.
Hatch Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Brentford in the evening is ideal for me. Now I just got to get a ticket.
Sour Mash Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 the question once again for me is will it be reachable leaving at 5.30 from Soton? By train, no, you'd probably miss the first 10 or so minutes from what I can see. In a car, depends where you're leaving from, would be fine without rush hour traffic, think you'd just about be ok on a tuesday evening, definitely worth giving it a go I'd say.
red and white saint Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 You will easily make it in the car as long as there isnt a serious accident on the roads and should easily be do able on train and might be worth changing at somewhere like woking so you dont have to go all the way into London to come back out
Saint Samuel Posted 1 December, 2009 Posted 1 December, 2009 Apparently there's a pub on every corner of the ground, so we're spoilt for choice!
Sour Mash Posted 2 December, 2009 Posted 2 December, 2009 You will easily make it in the car as long as there isnt a serious accident on the roads and should easily be do able on train and might be worth changing at somewhere like woking so you dont have to go all the way into London to come back out Great advice, I'm sure you've checked this.
RonManager Posted 11 December, 2009 Author Posted 11 December, 2009 Match rescheduled for Tuesday 26th January, 7.45pm.
markr27 Posted 12 December, 2009 Posted 12 December, 2009 Does anyone know whether Saints should be playing in yellow/black or blue for the game?
JRM Posted 6 January, 2010 Posted 6 January, 2010 Tickets go on sale for this tomorrow http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1925009,00.html 1200 terrace tickets - £20 544 seats - £21 1744 in total. Expect this to sell out despite the number of games we have coming up
niceandfriendly Posted 6 January, 2010 Posted 6 January, 2010 Disappointed with those prices. 20 quid to stand in the rain?
RonManager Posted 6 January, 2010 Author Posted 6 January, 2010 Disappointed with those prices. 20 quid to stand in the rain? Brooke Rd end is covered.
JRM Posted 6 January, 2010 Posted 6 January, 2010 Disappointed with those prices. 20 quid to stand in the rain? we are in the end with the terrace lower tier seats upper tier. Both covered by same roof.
Pat from Poole Posted 6 January, 2010 Posted 6 January, 2010 we are in the end with the terrace lower tier seats upper tier. Both covered by same roof. Even though it has a roof, £20 is pretty steep for a terrace in Div 3. No doubt they use the excuse of London pricing, as that turd Bates used to do at Chelsea. It will however clearly be rammed if only 1,200 can fit into it. Looking forward to this one.

macthesaint Posted 10 January, 2010 Posted 10 January, 2010 Has anyone parked near the ground before? The football grounds guide mentions street parking, but is that restricted to residents? It says there is one pay car park nearby.

niceandfriendly Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Got my three tickets today. The girl in the ticket office thinks they'll sell out when they go on general sale. Looking forward to the four pub crawl.
bungle Posted 19 January, 2010 Posted 19 January, 2010 You lucky people. I just bought a ticket. See you in the pub?
Hatch Posted 19 January, 2010 Posted 19 January, 2010 See you in the pub? I may force myself into a pub at some stage,,
oxfordshire_saint Posted 19 January, 2010 Posted 19 January, 2010 I thought Loftus Road had one of the smallest two-tier stands I'd ever seen but Brentford's takes the ****!
Andy_Porter Posted 20 January, 2010 Posted 20 January, 2010 (edited) I am proper skint but I'm going to go pick up my ticket tomorrow, better be worth the trip. looks like £14 on the train, not too bad. Edited 20 January, 2010 by Andy_Porter
