Laptop Advice

Well after about two weeks of searching through pages of advice, recomendations and countless internet sites I have decided on one of two options. Just cant decide between the two as both seem so good, but if anyone has anything to add that I may be missing about one or the other to sway my decision I would be grateful.

Was told that with a Vaio you are basically paying about £100 extra just because its a Sony. Cant really go above £500 so would have to get a Vaio without dedicated graphics.

I had a Vaio before this machine.

It broke once during the warranty. From me first calling them to them collecting, repairing and returning it to me was about 4 days which really impressed me.

It broke again (video card I think) a month or so after the warranty ended and they wanted £200 just to look at it.

Got a mate to take a look and the cost of finding a replacement card which would fit was through the roof.
