Smirking_Saint Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Yeah, agreed, a decent day out at Arsenal would be nice. TBH i would rather we just concentrate on the league
Arizona Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Yeah, agreed, a decent day out at Arsenal would be nice. TBH i would rather we just concentrate on the league In all honnesty, I think we will have very little to play for in the League this year.
Smirking_Saint Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Yeah, i think you are probably right, but if we can get things going, just nicking a playoff place is not beyond the realms of impossibility. I would rather give it a shot then a pointless Cup campaign that ends in nothing, obviously if we do well i will change my opinion !!
Whitey Grandad Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Winning becomes a habit. Having said that, there must be zero chance of us winning the cup this year so it's just a matter of when we get knocked out. Still, we can have a lot of fun along the way.
scottzoo Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 burnley at home they can't win for toffee away *****il next week) . If we win giant killing doesnt seem possible does it
Saint_clark Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 F*ck it, I might put a bet on us winning the cup. COYR!
S4INT Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 F*ck it, I might put a bet on us winning the cup. COYR! Done and done - I'm fairly sure we're going to firmly middle League 1 this year but if we won the FA and Johnson's Paint Trophy I'd probably take that ;]
Andy_Porter Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Ipswich home or away. If not any league 2 or lower away.
Thedelldays Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Ipswich at home. Just so we can abuse keane or 90 mins
toofarnorth Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Any team that could see us fill St Marys. Been a long time since i've seen the ground full. Guess that means any of the top 6 in the Prem or Pompey.
sotonjoe Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 big prem team at home ... manure, chelsea, liverpool, arsenal etc. Oh and perhaps a return of Harry in the form of Spurs! yes and of course, how could i forget pompey? I might be getting carried away but with a home advantage I'd like to think we could have a go at turning them over.
Andy_Porter Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 If we got a prem team we'd just get turned over. I really didn't enjoy that Man United game last season, something like that again would be ****. I don't really see the fascination in getting a big team just so we can fill the stadium. If we had to get a prem team I'd much prefer an away trip so it's at least a day out before we get dicked.
Sold To The Man @ The Bar Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Skates home or Arse away !!
saint-luco Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 easy home tie please, cant see the point in a prem team yet, nice easy games to the semi will do
eharty9 Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 pompey, arsenal, livelerpool, man u, man city, chelsea, tottenham, villa! dont care home or away!!!
Charlie Wayman Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Bolton, Blackburn or Wigan at SMS but not one of the BIG SEVEN and certainly not any of the crap sides we played in Division 2 last year promoted or not, we can do them over later when we've cashed in a few chips. A draw against in form WBA or Newcastle would be a bummer
Andy_Porter Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 We will probably end up with Blackpool away.
jamesfp1 Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 anyone outside top 10 prem and must be in a bad run of form
eelpie Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 ...thrash Liverpool at home. We might even beat them the way they are playing. Or if we are to go out of the competition, let it be Arsenal, home or away. But wouldn't it just be great to beat Theo's club, even without Theo! (So why not dream? Football is nothing without fantasy.)
aintforever Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Arsenal away - would be great to see the stadium.
Um Bongo Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Tottenham at home could be fun. We would get spanked, but good old Harry would get an earful.
red&white56 Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Some team from the CCC - I'd like to see how the team perform against a "supposedly" better team. WBA at home would be a good test for us.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Hull/Bolton/Blackburn ANY mickey mouse Premership team at home will do. I think we would give them a really good run for their money.
dubai_phil Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Boro at home. Give WGS the welcome Then give his boys a good whipping
Mao Cap Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Away to somewhere I haven't been before. York would be nice, good old-fashioned ground and a lovely city.
sperm_john Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 im gonna go with ..hull at home, then we get pompey in the later stages ..
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 I bet we end up getting Leeds away or something...if they beat Kettering.
Window Cleaner Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 A team that we can beat. No point in drawing ManU or Arsenal at home. We'd only get another 7 or 8 K anyway and the prices will get hiked.Plus we have to give them 45% and the FA 10% (or something like that) No point putting more money in their already overflowing pockets for a couple of K TV money, that can wait. For me someone beatable at home.
Dr Who? Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Arsenal away please. Really want to go there as I have never been.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Mmm, first thoughts would be it's a nailed on cert for us to draw Poopey. And while that might be fun, it would be a gutting way to go out TBF - they would be too much for us I think. If we're to test the lads out on a Prem side, then surely it would be good to have a decent side that are faltering a bit - Liverpool at home perhaps. That way if we win - its "wow, how good was THAT"! If we lose - it's "well, as underdogs it's what we expected".
Tac-tics Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Praying for a decent tie, no one like Plymouth etc
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 LOL not even close to drawing Pompey...
Verbal Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Verbal's Iron Law will apply, which states: We'll be underwhelmed by the draw.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 At home to Rotherham or Luton LMAO!!!
S4INT Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 Home tie against average oppo. I'll take that
Window Cleaner Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 (edited) Saints v.s Rotherham or Luton Good, we can win that and we'll get 21K or thereabouts anyway what'smore we owe Rotherham a good thumping Plus ticket prices will be reasonable and not 35£ Edited 29 November, 2009 by Window Cleaner
RonManager Posted 29 November, 2009 Posted 29 November, 2009 I'd like Rotherham or Luton if possible..
