thesaint sfc Posted 27 November, 2009 Share Posted 27 November, 2009 I'm after either an 8 or 16GB ipod touch. Is the 3rd generation the newest?

Rattlehead Posted 28 November, 2009 Share Posted 28 November, 2009 I suspect this is your first iPod touch? If so, I suggest you will always want more than you think - go for 32gb. My 32gb is full, as is my 16gb iPhone. I have been through loads of iPods and I always need more than I think spacewise, especially if you watch films etc on them. mdearlove Posted 28 November, 2009 Share Posted 28 November, 2009 Airports are the best place to get one - try and find someone flying out of Heathrow or Gatwick and ask them to buy it for you. Other than that most places charge a similar price.

Christmas pressie for my little 13 year old sister so I think 16GB should do the trick. Could someone confirm the 3rd generation is the latest? thesaint sfc Posted 28 November, 2009 Author Share Posted 28 November, 2009 Also, do they still do a 16GB? Can't seem to see one on their page. http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/shop_ipod/family/ipod_touch?mco=MTAyNTQzMDY
itchen_dan Posted 28 November, 2009 Share Posted 28 November, 2009 no it's now 8gb, 32gb or 64gb The 32gb and 64gb both have faster processors than the 8gb one. I have an 8gb touch and it is very nearly full, i agree with Rattlehead, always go for bigger than you want! HTH
thesaint sfc Posted 29 November, 2009 Author Share Posted 29 November, 2009 No way am I spending £229 on her for Christmas for the 32GB one! Why did they do away with the 16GB? Guess it will have to be a 16GB ipod nano for her - £135.
Ponty Posted 29 November, 2009 Share Posted 29 November, 2009 I traded in a dozen old 360 games at Gamestation and had enough credit to buy my kid a Nano there last year.
Winnersaint Posted 29 November, 2009 Share Posted 29 November, 2009 No way am I spending £229 on her for Christmas for the 32GB one! Quite! We're buying the 32GB for our daughter, but that's her main Xmas present.
mdearlove Posted 30 November, 2009 Share Posted 30 November, 2009 Know anyone in the USA or someone heading there before xmas? Amazon.com are selling the 8GB one today only for $158 - just over £
