I have a HD tele and it came with a Blu ray player. I no longer order DVD's as the quality is infinitely better, it's tricky to notice in some films though untill you go back to the original resolution as they are ported from formats that do not support the full capability of the format.

I was looking at BR players, but it's almost as cheap to get a PS3. Relative bargain IMO. Now all I need is a kick ass LED TV.
Forget Samsung bit overpriced, these new LG's get top marks and are alot cheaper!

Or a smaller one!

Is it really worth getting a blu-ray dvd player yet?

they still seem quite expensive and not sure whether it's worth getting one or wait til they come down in price and when more titles are available.

Are they really that much better than a normal DVD player?

If you've got just over £200 this is best bluray player under £400 .http://www.trustedreviews.com/home-cinema/review/2009/10/23/LG-BD390-Blu-ray-Player/p1

And if you have less than £200 this one is the mutts nuts! http://www.trustedreviews.com/home-cinema/review/2008/09/06/Panasonic-DMP-BD35-Blu-ray-Player/p1
