brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 Only 1,700 tickets sold for Saturday, we have an allocation of 2,500...
RedAndWhite91 Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 I bet there will be a few more sold after the victory at Hartlepool. We still haven't got our tickets yet.
Pilchards Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 Booked a hotel and got the tickets which will be my childrens first away game. Can't wait. Does anyone know what colours we will be wearing as the car is going to be covered with it!
Thedelldays Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 Booked a hotel and got the tickets which will be my childrens first away game. Can't wait. Does anyone know what colours we will be wearing as the car is going to be covered with it! and probably have broken windows for your journey back
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 To be expected, it's only Northampton!
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 25 November, 2009 Author Posted 25 November, 2009 But dont Saints lose money if we dont sell 2,000 tickets ?
Arizona Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 Booked a hotel and got the tickets which will be my childrens first away game. Can't wait. Does anyone know what colours we will be wearing as the car is going to be covered with it! I've heard we're wearing the new bright pink latex away shirt, with the little rainbow flag on the back. No need to thank me.

krissyboy31 Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 But dont Saints lose money if we dont sell 2,000 tickets ? They have guaranteed 2000. I don't know what the spread home side/FA/away side is but say it's 40/20/40? We will have guaranteed to pay Northampton 40% of the money raised from sales of 2,000, probably around £12.5 to £13K. Hardly going to break the bank! We'll take over 2,000 anyway.
bigchrisy Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 and probably have broken windows for your journey back You are the most negative person in britain.
Andy_Porter Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 Read today that this games going to be on TV in Finland so there should be a stream knocking about for anyone who isn't going. Got my tickets a while ago, In the east stand i think.
Block 5 Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 My tickets arrived today, Alwyn Hargrave stand, row B. And Pilchards, as long as you remove the colours when you park you'll be fine. When you're off to an away game in the motor, there's nothing better than seeing another car decked out in Saints colours.
instinct Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 I went to watch Northampton play at Aldershot last night. They were a poor team, very slow and poor technically. Akinfenwa and Gutteridge looked like the only vaguely dangerous players. Their right back Rogers is sketchy and Lallana should have a field day against him. Can't see them posing much of a threat to Saints tbh, can't wait till sat!
voteforpedro Posted 25 November, 2009 Posted 25 November, 2009 We'll sell most of those tickets, I expect another 300 or so will be sold over thursday and friday and a few more buying on the day.
West End Saint Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 We will take more than 2000 no problem & away to Northampton 2nd round of the cup that is good support we havent got our tickets yet getting them today there will be a lot sold today & Friday. I just hope we get through the game with no injuries get the win & get a big Prem team 3rd round Liverpool away would do me not been to Anfield I dont ask for much!

sperm_john Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 also buying on the gate with about 3/4 mates
saintsfannick Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 how are people getting their from the train station , I'm not really sure what to do, also who's getting train up, changing at london euston!
Pilchards Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 and probably have broken windows for your journey back How will driving up and taking your colours off 10 minutes before arriving near Northampton going to get my car smashed up? And after the game a walk back to the hotel. I often think that because you are at war with some of these difficult parts in the world that you believe it's everywhere including at a nice friendly cup tie. Anyway enough of the -ve's. So are we in the pink strip ;-)
4737_carlin Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 Northampton have only sold 2000 tickets

Changing at Euston and meeting up with some mates who are getting on at Watford Junction. We are getting there about 11.30 and are heading into town centre in a cab I think.
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 26 November, 2009 Author Posted 26 November, 2009 I have Saints stickers on the rear window of my car, never had a problem yet...(fingers crossed) any idea of a good place to park near the ground, I notice on Google maps that there are a few big car parks nearby but I dont want to pay through the nose, or any other orifice.. My ticket hasnt arrived by post yet either, I bet there is a sad skate postman somewhere who collects Saints away tickets...same happened for Oldham and the tickets never arrived until about 5 minutes to kick off from the Saints travel club..:-(

MbaleSaint Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 I drove through Northampton the last time they were palying at home and parking for £1 was being advertised a short walk from the ground. Or the one outside the ground is £3.
Whitey Grandad Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 I drove through Northampton the last time they were palying at home and parking for £1 was being advertised a short walk from the ground. Or the one outside the ground is £3. I parked just outside the ground the last time we played them and it took me ages to get out of the car park. For away games I always try to get to the ground early, then drive the way I would be going after the game and after a mile park somewhere on the left. After the game it's only a 20 minute walk, the traffic's thinned out and then you're on your way. If I remember correctly, the Northampton ground is out of town and near the main road junction so my usual plan is not so easy.

Dog Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 Park at the Westgate Industrial Estate, It's free and only 2 minutes to the ground. And it will be easier getting out.

StDunko Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 Just bought my ticket for this one. I've not been to Northampton before. I felt I should go because the club had shown faith in our fans by demanding the large allocation. Come on everyone, its the FA Cup, win this one and we could get Poopey at home in the 3rd round, or a nice trip to the Emirates. (I've not been there either!).
Junior Mullet Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 Alwyn Hargrave stand, row B. . "Alwyn the Saints Go marching in....."
Saint Mikey Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 When you're off to an away game in the motor, there's nothing better than seeing another car decked out in Saints colours. Really? What about being sucked off by some blonde beauty whilst driving to said away game? Surely that's better than seeing another car with a scarf stuck in the window?

Dynamo Naive Posted 26 November, 2009 Posted 26 November, 2009 I went to watch Northampton play at Aldershot last night. They were a poor team, very slow and poor technically. Can't see them posing much of a threat to Saints tbh, can't wait till sat! Largely agree, although the conditions were appalling. I thought Akinfenwa was a real handful – best player on the pitch by miles, although he seemed to be carrying a knock when he came off so don't know if he's fit for Saturday.
JRM Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 any update on how many sold? hopefully topped 2000 now
Saint Samuel Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 I dreamt last night we made it to the semi finals of the FA Cup and were playing Arsenal (who for some reason still had Emannuel Petit playing for them), couldn't get a ticket for the Saints end so had to sit with the Gooners.
rednrednredandwhite Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 any update on how many sold? hopefully topped 2000 now got three tickets at 9.30 this morning and going by the seat numbers i reckon there are about 400 to 500 left

I've been longing for this day!
Andy Durman Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 Im taking my 4 yrold daughter to the football for first time ever tommorrow. I've been longing for this day! Hey I'm taking my 4 year old son (first game) and dad. See you there!
Sour Mash Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 Are tickets definitely available on the day?
saintsfannick Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 My tickets arrived today, Alwyn Hargrave stand, row B. alwyn hargrave stand row A!!! see you there
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 27 November, 2009 Author Posted 27 November, 2009 Are tickets definitely available on the day? I asked the ticket office about that this morning and there will certainly be tickets available on the day...
Saint Richard of Woolston Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 I have a spare ticket for tomorrow. Going for £15.00. PM me for detail if interested but note that I shall be arriving at Northampton 2.30 earliest so will need to meet any taker outside the ground.
Chris Larkin Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 how are people getting their from the train station , I'm not really sure what to do, also who's getting train up, changing at london euston! I was planning to walk, it's only 1.8 miles down a main road according to Google Maps. Apparently there's also a bus every 20 minutes from near the station to Sixfields, so you could go for that. Anyway, I'm getting the train from Leicester, changing at Nuneaton.
Sour Mash Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 I asked the ticket office about that this morning and there will certainly be tickets available on the day... Cheers.
saintsfannick Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 the walk from the station shouldn't be that bad I just looked at it on google maps , should be other saints fans taking that journey anyway
Lets B Avenue Posted 27 November, 2009 Posted 27 November, 2009 I have a spare ticket for tomorrow. Going for £15.00.
