Bart would be one of the best keepers in this league if he was starting so no worries from me. Obviously would rather KD wasn't injured but that's football. Forecast or Pernecky on the bench now?

Bart, Davis, Forecast, Poke, Pernecky, Hogan

poke and pernecky can be reaclled i think, as they're both on loan atm.

Who the hell is Hogan ? Never heard of him.

Obviously I am not a "real" fan...:(

he ''was'' one of the kids...but just seen above he's been released, so cross him off.

4 it is then!

I agree with the comments on here. We need to get behind Bart and show him that we have every faith in his ability.

If ever there was an chance to "carry" a player a bit low on confidence, its now...

Sure this is a big blow, but thinking about it Kelvin hasn't really been needed as much as last season (I mean when was the last time he even came close to the MOTM award?). For all the faults of our defence and not keeping clean sheets, Kelvin's been much better protected this season and I don't actually think GK is our priority position at the moment. Bart will do just fine

Kelvin made two match changing saves last night at 2-1 up immediately before the injury - but agreed he hasn't been as vital. That doesn't mean we don't need a good goalkeeper, though I hope Bart has some confidence and commands the box. It was nice to see Trotman go up to him to discuss and clarify a few things during one of the many Lallana injury breaks not long after he came on.

I was a little concerned that Bart was rooted to his line for one corner but the wind was difficult to read and we got it away...

The last time he was injured we got Wright in and tightened up no end. Hope we get a good loan in but more than happy with Bart. Maik Taylor please...

Bart gets the nod from me - he has shown he can do the job and let's all just get behind him and let him do it.

I say this as someone who was at the Rotherham cup game!...but also saw him before the knee injury he sustained in the Newcastle game.

Come on, lad, you'll never get a better chance at Saints - please take it!

Poke has been recalled:

Good news would much rather have poke on the bench than forecast at least he has played some competetive football and if memory served looked pretty decent in the firt team a couple of seasons ago until he played that game with a ridiculous injury.

Hope Bart comes good again...but personally can't see it happening...

Get well soon Kelvin!

Personally I couldn't see Kelvin lasting another transfer window after his gesture to the crowd at Sheffield Wednesday a couple of seasons back let alone being made club captain, player of the season and having everyone on here blowing him kisses rather than slating him.

Stranger things have happened than a young inexperienced goalkeeper finding his confidence and fullfilling his potential, see the above.

Ok jam, Why ?

I've highlighted the bit below where John B explains his point:

  John B said:
It would be good if Davis never played for us again if Bart proved to be a n outstanding goalkeeper during the next few weeks.

Relatively easy games against Northampton and Wycombe coming up for Bart to gain confidence

As in, IF Bart takes his chance and is "outstanding" then it is a blessing in disguise for Saints.

Haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere but the local paper in South Devon is reporting we've recalled Poke.

He's been a big hit down there

''Such a shame, he has been in excellent form lately and has certainly won us some vital points!

The reality has suddenly hit home that we may never see him in a TUFC again, as I wouldn't be at all surprised if he is sold on in January ... or maybe given a first team chance at Southampton. Certainly the sort of fee they would want, or at least so I have heard, is going to put him out of our reach in all likelihood.

Even though he's never been OUR player, he has been so much a part of what has been going on at TUFC for the last couple of years that it really felt like he was!

Best of luck Michael, and thanks for everything.''

''Wish Pokey all the very best for the future, one of the best keepers we have had in a while.

Bart was playing well and then got dropped by Whisky George for no reason for the playoff 2nd leg which must have dented his confidence big time. Brought back in and put behind Bennett and Powell and all that sh!te that George though woud do for a defence. He's not been given a chance since which is down to the upturn in KD's form and chronic mismanagement. He's a good keeper and he'll be fine. I'd be more worried if Bart got injured and we had Forecast in goal.

They were a little premature in their reporting. Poke hasn't been recalled because the Football League has stepped in and told Poke to stay at Torquay. Why? I don't know.
